Another Cardinal Christmas

Yes, Ellen,I know, another bird, but I just wanted to share one of the cards we are doing at my stamp a stack on Saturday.

This card uses two of the latest techniques. First I brayered my new Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder from the Holiday Mini with Ruby Red Ink, added a piece of Whisper White card stock and an oval matte from the Dollar Tree, and ran it through my handy Big Shot. I just love the way it turned out. I trimmed the edges, layered it onto some Basic Black then onto a Ruby Red Card. I then used another oval matte (they came in a pack of three) and used it as a stencil to cut out an oval to match, and stamped my lovely cardinal. Iused markers to color him in. Added some Old Olive ribbon, colored the smaller one with my Always Artichoke marker, added a sentiment, some sponging, popped it up with dimensionals, and finished it off with some of our new Shimmer Paint in Champagne. I mixed with water and misted it on. Although you can't see the glimmer in the picture, it is really beautiful in real life. I'm telling ya,
this Shimmer Paint is a must have and at only $5.95, you need it NOW! LOL. If you don't have a demo, contact me in the upper left corner of my blog.

Thanks for dropping in. Have a great day! Oh, and remember, I WORK FOR COMMENTS
so please leave me one, lol.
