Faux Leather Clutch

Today's share is a technique and project I learned in a VC Rocks! class this summer. This fabulous class was taught by Marisol Gutierrez.
Marisol is such a sweet lady and a wonderful teacher, not to mention, a fabulous stamper.
Here is my Faux Leather Clutch:

here is the inside, lined with Elegant Soiree DSP:

Isn't it awesome? I had it laying out on my desk and my beautiful daughter, who isn't usually
impressed by my projects, came into the kitchen with it and said "you made this entirely out
of paper?" when I answered "yes, do you like it?" She said she did and that it was cool. Well, that's good enough for me. Cuz if she thinks it's cool, it probably is, lol.

Thanks for coming by today and checking out my little blog. comments are appreciated.

Another Artistic Etchings

Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start. Today's share is a card that
Patty Bennett made and I just had to case. I love this set but was having a hard time making
a really vintage card out of it. So here is my case, and hopefully I can jump off from this one
and make more vintage cards of my own. Thanks, Patty for the inspiration:

Isn't this just gorgeous? I absolutely love it! Thanks again, Patty.

Thanks for checking in today. Comments are appreciated.

VC Rocks! 2010

Well, this weekend marks the end of the VC Rocks! Group for 2010. I will miss all my friends, old
and new when the closing ceremonies are over, and the emails wind down. Our last stamping
challenge for the year, by our resident and renowned Punch Queen, Ellen K. was to make a card,
her only requirements were to use Real Red and at least one punch. Here is my submission to
the challenge:

As a tribute to all my friends, may we keep in touch, may your lives be happy, and until we meet
again, take care, and stay safe.

Hugs to you all.

RAK Delights

One of the great part about VC Rocks! each summer are the RAK's. It is an awesome feeling to
open the mailbox and find something besides bills, and to find that someone has thought enough
of you to send you a card......just because. Here are a few I received recently.

From the wonderful Kimberly Johnson:

From the lovely Patricia Gessner:

And last for today, from the awesome Jane Hignite:

Aren't they just beautiful? I feel so special.

Thanks for looking today. See you again soon. I'm sure these ladies would adore to know
what you think of their cards.

Countryside

Today I would love to share a card I made for a swap, but didn't really like, so never joined the swap. Now, I have changed my mind, I think I may like it, lol. What do you think?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Not sure what got on the right hand side of the card, but please look past that. I really think I
should have made 11 more of these and sent them in. Oh well, that's what happens.

So glad you stopped by today. Hope your day is going well. See you again soon.

You Rock!

As I was blog surfing one day recently, I ran across an Austrailian Demo who had made a
guitar out of punches and I had to make one. Thus, today's project. Lookie:

Colors are Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, and Brushed Silver. Very masculine, don't you
think? This would be awesome for a teenage boys birthday, or just because you think he
rocks!

Morning Cup by Debbie Saffels

Last week, my downline and I got the opportunity to go to a meeting at my upline's home with
our SU siblings, and stamp. Five of us were to bring make n takes for us to make. Today's
share was a make n take designed by my downline Debbie Saffels.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I think it turned out cute. Debbie is new and is really doing a great job with Stampin' Up!
I am very proud of her. She has only been stamping since the first of the year, but she
absolutely LOVES stamping and sharing it with others.

If you would like to join my team, just contact me for more info, or check it out on my Demo
Website, InkingtheNightAway.stampinup.net password: Strawberry Stampers.

Thanks for coming by today. Have a wonderful day!

VC Rocks! Final Blog Hop for 2010 Season

Welcome to the Final Blog Hop for the 2010 season of VC Rocks! It has been a whirlwind summer at VC Rocks! Lots of games, classes, swaps, contests, challenges, fun, laughter, and most of all friendships and fellowship. This is the most wonderful group of ladies. They are also some of the most talented you will find anywhere and I am proud to call each and everyone of them my friend.

There are 32 stops on this hop as well as 4 ladies posting on the VC Rocks! home blog, so you
will find loads of great projects.
You most likely hopped here from the lovely Diane Clark-Sutton. She does awesome work. If you get lost along the way, travel to the VC Rocks blog to find your way again, and check out the stampers that are being featured there today. Here is my project:

Directions:

1. Stamp your image onto Very Vanilla Card stock with Black Stazon.

4. Punch 11 black circles out with the 3/4" circle punch and adhere them around outside edge of punched
image, giving it a black scalloped circle edge.
5. Run your piece of Rich Razzleberry through your Big Shot with Square Lattice Embossing Folder.
6. Punch your strip of black cardstock with Ribbon Border Punch
7. Using your mat pack and paper piercer, pierce two lines down the short right side of your Old Olive strip.
8. Put the card together as follows: Rich Razzleberry embossed piece onto Pumpkin Pie card base, top with Old
Olive strip near center of card. Add black ribbon border piece onto left hand side of Old Olive strip and mount
scalloped image with middle of image where Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie meet. Thread Black flower
button with hemp cord and tie knot, then adhere this to glue dot to bottom of card where Razzleberry and
Pumpkin pieces meet.
9. Stamp sentiment onto bottom right corner with Basic Black Ink.

Hope you get a chance to try this card, it was loads of fun to make.

Now it is time for you to move on. Thanks so much for hopping along with us today. Comments are greatly
appreciated.

Artistic Etchings on Tile

Today's project is one I did for a customer this week. She wanted to learn how to stamp on tiles, so
this is the tile I showed her, made with the Artistic Etchings and En Francais stamp sets, Ruby Red and Basic BlackCraft Inks and Clear Embossing powder. This was a case from another demo, I did change the color of the red, to the one I actually had, but other than that, it is exactly the same. Why mess with perfection? Anyway, here is today's project:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't this pretty? Imagine it with a pretty bow and on a little easel, wouldn't that make a nice gift? I think so. Anyway, my friend loved it and hopefully it will entice her to try a few of her own.

Thanks for stopping in today. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the final blog hop of this
years VC Rocks! Have a fantastic day!

Guest Artist Amy Halbert

Today I have my BFF Amy's art to share with you. She and I worked on almost all our VC Rocks! swaps together including our roomie boxes. We made the same gifts for our awesome roomies, just switched out DSP to suit our roomies likes and dislikes. Here are Amy's gorgeous gifts, made with the Greenhouse Gala DSP:

What do you think? I just loved them, and Greenhouse Gala wasn't a paper I thought I
liked until she made these with them. Since we were on the 70's floor, Amy thought this
had a real 70's feel to it, and it really does, doesn't it?

Thanks so much for dropping in today and don't forget to leave Amy some comments to tell
her how much you liked her work. See ya again soon!

Because I Care

Yes, it is yet another Because I Care card. If you do not have this set, you really need to call me
to set a date for your workshop, cuz you NEED this set. Really.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I needed a very simple and easy card for some new stampers tomorrow, and they are elderly, so
I didn't want to scare them off, so I went with this awesome set. You just can't go wrong.

I think it met the criteria for my new ladies, but I won't know until tomorrow, so check back and I will let you know if they enjoyed it.

This card will also be a make n take on the VC Rocks! Blog soon, so look for it. VC will be closing at the end of August for this year, so I will move my Make n Takes to my blog. I hope to post one at least once a week.

Thanks for coming by again today. Comments are appreciated.

Hydrangea

Ok, so if you aren't tired of me using this set, yet, lol. then go ahead and look. This card was cased from another demo, because I was amazed at how simple it was to pull of such an elegant look. I wanted to show my ladies how to take it to the
next level so I let them make the simple card, then stepped it up with some extra texture and ribbon. I really loved the results, as did all my ladies.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Stepped up version:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't this pretty? Thanks so much to the demo who originally made this card, I found her in Stampin' Connection, a website by Stampin' Up! just for demos.

So glad you came by today. Comments are appreciated.

Aviary

One of the first sets I ordered from the new 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog was (no surprise here) Aviary. I really haven't had the chance to play with it
until now, and it is so much fun.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This card is a case from another demo, although I did change the punch, and of course, I have no clue whom it was, but it spurred me to take out the set and play, and you will definitely be seeing more of this cute set.

Thanks for dropping in.
