Always in Pink, Gray, and White

Today's post is another one done with the Stampin' Up! set Always. It's such a beautiful set, and you can never go wrong with this color combination. I love
Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray and Whisper White together.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And with all the pink, it's
a great card for October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So go make a pink, gray
and white card today, and if you haven't done it in awhile, go get your mammies grammed. Have a wonderful weekend, see you again soon.

RMHC Swap 3D

Today I have the 3D item that I made for the RMHC Swap. I waited until the last
minute, as usual, and the only thing I could think of was a mini composition book,
I love the way it turned out, though. This is my mock up. The ones I sent are
a little different.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Taken with Teal, Tempting Turquoise and Brilliant Blue inks. Whisper White, Basic Black, Brilliant Blue and Tempting Turquoise card stock. White and Clear Stampin' Up! embossing powders. Tempting Turquoise 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and brads, and the Modern Label and Rounded Corner punches.

I love making 3D items, just wish I had time to make them. Swaps force me to make
time, lol. I guess that's why I join them, that, and all the great stuff I get back.
There are really some awesome stampers out there.

Hope you enjoyed todays project, hope to see you again soon.

Daydream Believer

Today's post is a 6x6 Scrapbook page I made this summer for a challenge. It is a picture of my beautiful and talented daughter, Gabrielle. She was caught in a daydream in this picture, and her eyes are absolutely gorgeous. I am so proud of
her.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors are Ruby Red, Barely Banana, I believe, and of course Chocolate Chip, 'cuz like
my buddy Ellen says "Everything goes with Chocolate Chip."

I'm sure Gabi won't be happy I've posted this, but, oh well, lol, it won't be the first time. After all, she is a teenager. Don't forget to leave me a comment. Have a great day. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank You

Today's post is a card made for a swap in which you had to use the Very Thankful set. If you are in this swap and don't want to see it. Do not look further, lol.
This set is this years RMHC set. Stampin' Up! will donate $2.00 from each set sold to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
The set is on the inside back cover of the Idea Book & Catalog, so give it a look, and then shoot me an email and let me know you can't live without it. Check out this card made with one of the stamps in the set.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I did use the bigger filigree brads on the swaps, but I think it turned out ok, what do
you think? I would love your opinion. Have a great day, thanks for visiting.

Asian Asparagus

Another 6x6 scrapbook page today, this time a Recipe Page. Don't you just love
Basic Black and Pretty In Pink together? I do. I wanted to give this an Asian
flair, since the recipe is for Asian Asparagus. I used the Eastern Influences
Stamp Set and it did the job quite nicely.
This is a delicious recipe, if you like asparagus, try it out.
Also, there is lots of cutting on this one. I am forever cutting something and popping it up. To me, it just looks better.

Have a great day! See ya'll later.

Butterfly Kisses

Todays post is a 6x6 two page layout that I made for a swap, but then decided it was
not what I wanted so I didn't swap it. I wasn't happy with the colors, Soft Subtles
aren't my thing most of the time, except for Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink, so that
is why it didn't appeal to me, but the layout itself is cute. Journaling is in the small tags on the right page and there is an accordian tag behind the bow on the left page

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Stamp set used is Pocket Silhouettes. Colors are Lavender Lace, Sage Shadow, Pretty
In Pink, and Barely Banana. Title made with the Stampin' Up! Billboard Die for the Big Shot.

Thanks for dropping by today. See ya!

Ornament Card

Today's post is a card with a removable ornament made from the tag punches. I believe
there is a tutorial on Splitcoast. It is fairly easy to do and the results are fantastic. I love that the recipient can take the ornament off and hang it on their tree if they want.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors are Brilliant Blue and Bashful Blue, and Vellum Cardstock is also used. If
you can't find the instructions, let me know and I can try to make a tutorial.

Have a great Saturday!

A Fairy Special Visit

I think that Ellen's punch fairy must have come to visit along with the package
she sent me. As I was flipping through the channels I came across some cartoon with
an ostrich in it. I kept clicking then said," hey, I think I can make him out of punches, his head looks like the butterfly punches Ellen sent me" and so here's what
came out of that little brainstorm. I believe it just might be an original. Of course, after I took the picture, I realized I needed some lines, and sponging on his legs, and his body and beak needed some color and texture so you will just have to imagine her finished.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What do you think Ellen? How'd I do? thanks for sending the fairy, and the punched butterflies. And thanks for knowing I'd need gray ones, LOL.

Ok, here are the punches used. Head-butterfly, Tuft-Boho Blossoms, Tail-Scallop Circle, Body-Wide Oval, Neck-Wide Oval (used left over and just punched a small
neck sized piece out) Legs-Word Window and 1/2" Circle, Eyes-1/2" & 1/4" Circles,
Beak-Large Oval (punched once then put back in and punched again, then trimmed until it looked right) Wings are the Scallop Circle punched and put back in and punched again. Eyelashes and grass are hand cut.
Cardstock used is Basic Gray, Whisper White Glorious Green, Sahara Sand and Crushed Curry. Inks used are Basic Black and Basic Gray.
Sentiment from the Cheep Talk stamp set.

Isn't she cute? Have a great Friday and hope the Punch Fairy visits you soon. See ya!

Manhattan Flower Die

When I first saw the Manhattan Flower Die in the catalog I had to have it for my
Big Shot. It is so very simple to make a quick and gorgeous card with this die.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I ran it through the Mr. Big with some Pink Pirouette (retired) added some Basic Gray and a sentiment from the Oval All set an used the Scallop Oval Punch to layer it and it
took less than 10 minutes. You couldn't even find your keys, and get the keys in the
car to go to the store in 10 minutes. Another perfect reason to make your own greeting cards. Plus, you won't find anything like this at the store.

Now, go make a 10 minute card. I challenge you. See ya!

A Wish For Peace

Good Morning, and happy Wednesday. Man this week is flying by and I'm having a tough time keeping up, lol.
I am getting together with a group of friends on Sunday to stamp and this is one of the cards we will be making. I have wanted this set for quite some time, and finally got it last week, so here is my first card made with it and it also uses Lovely as a Tree. Isn't this such a beautiful set? and it is so inexpensive. A Wish for Peace is only $16.95, and is on page 38 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. Gorgeous.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Amazing how quick you can put a card like this together, but the results are so
pretty. A little sponging, a little glitter and of course, the dove of peace.
Hope you enjoy today's card, see ya tomorrow.

Always in Faux Silk and Deal of the Week #3

Today's card features the Always set. Always has been around a couple of years in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, but it is such a pretty set I love to use it. This card also uses the technique faux silk.
This is a very easy technique that gives great results. You just stamp your images on tissue paper, color in if needed, wad it up, flatten it back out, leaving some wrinkles, then spread our great Stampin' Up! Glue Stick all over the cardstock you are putting it on,in this case Whisper White, add tissue, and glue down making sure you get some wrinkles. That's it! Isn't it pretty?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Also used Old Olive, More Mustard and Perfect Plum on this card. Give this technique
a try. It's so easy, even a caveman can do it, lol.

Today begins another Deals of the Week from Stampin' Up! Check out these bargains! Prices good through October 26th at 9:50AM

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Hostess Gift

Sorry I am late today, fell asleep on the couch last night and never got up. I was exhausted. But I will share a couple of things with you today. One is the gift I
gave my hostess at her workshop last week. It is a junior legal pad with a cover. I used the Wings of Friendship set to make this. My hostess loved it. The messed up and pulled Rose Red out for the cardstock, when I should have been pulling out Melon Mambo, but it still looks pretty good.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The second thing I will show you today is a picture I took of a hawk on my way home
the other day. He was out looking for some food, and I couldn't resist pulling out
my camera and getting a few shots.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I hope you enjoy checking these out, now, go enjoy your Sunday! TA!

Swan Song

One of my favorite people ever will be receiving this card any day now. It is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Birds. Did you get it yet, Clem?
It is very simple, but the sentiment says it all. Your friendship means the world to me. Thanks for stopping by every day and commenting on
my blog, listening to me when I need to rant, and enabling, ur, sending me stuff that
I don't have like punched shapes, etc. You are truly an angel.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ballet Blue and Whisper White Cardstock, Ballet Blue and Only Orange Ink and Eyelets.
Sentiment from current hostess set Wings of Friendship

See ya'll later. Have a great weekend!

Eastern Influences

Today's card is brought to you from the Far East. The Eastern Influences Set is one of
several sets in the Catalog with Asian Influence. They are all beautiful and I am well on the way to owning all of them, lol.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Cardstock and Inks: Very Vanilla, Pretty In Pink, Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow

The stamp a ma jig was an absolute must on this card to put the two limbs together.
I also cut out my birds and popped them up on, added a little sponging and there
you have it. Hope you enjoy. See ya soon.

Dashing towards Christmas

Is it just me or are things moving way too fast these days. Halloween is so close,
Thanksgiving just around the corner and Christmas, well, that's just scary to think
about. But since the reminders are in every store, I will continue to show cards that may possibly put you in the Christmas spirit.
This one is made with Dasher, the best selling stamp in the catalog right now. I don't know if you have noticed, but on the next to last page of the Stampin' Up! catalog, there are several single stamps that are under $10. Dasher is one of those, and isn't he handsome? What a wonderful and cost efficient way to make some stunning handmade cards that you will be proud to send to your friends and family.
Check out Dasher:

If you are interested in making some cards with Dasher, contact me, and I will help
you create a card that suits your style. Have a great day, see ya again soon.

Balmy Breezes

One of my favorite Stampin' Up! sets of all time is Balmy Breezes. I just love
palm trees and thankfully I live in Florida, so I can see them anytime I want.
Unfortunately, that stamp set has been retired, so I tried out my hand at making
one from punches. Not an original idea, of course, cuz there are so many talented
people out there who are so amazingly creative (like my buddy Ellen Kemper at http://blinkthinkink.blogspot.com/) with punches. I don't remember where I saw it, but here is my version of Balmy Breezes, punched.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

If you need more info, please leave a comment and let me know, or just leave a
comment, I do love reading them.

Hope you like it, have a great Tuesday.

Snow Swirled & Sparkly

I have another Stamp Camp coming up this weekend, this will hopefully be one of the
cards we will be doing. Using the Snow Swirled set from Stampin' Up!, you can make
a very beautiful and quick card. I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder, added some Rose Red ribbon to match the Cardstock and Voila! a gorgeous card. Wish you could see the sparkle on this card,
unfortunately, since the camera doesn't pick it up, you'll just have to take my word for it.

Let me know what you think, and thanks for visiting.

A Little Birdie

One week, bird free! Didn't think I could do it, did ya? Well, it wasn't easy, but
it's over so, of course, today I have a bird. I will apologize in advance for the
crooked sentiment, this was made awhile ago, and I didn't have a stamp a ma jig.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Cute little robin, don't 'cha think? I do! This is also a one layer card, well sorta, love those, but not always an easy task for me. Tomorrow I hope to be back with something new. I need to come up with some Christmas cards for this weekend. Thanks for coming.

Skulls-Not Just For Halloween Anymore

Used to be, skulls, skeletons, and bones used to be the stuff of Halloween, pirates, and other not too savory things, but not anymore. Teenagers wear them like crazy, so do lots of other people, they are on clothes, backpacks, shoes, and, of course, on this card.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Now that's not saying they still aren't used in the old ways, but who wouldn't want
a YOU ROCK! skull card? Perfect for a teenage boy's birthday, or after getting that
A+ on that math test. This set is loads of fun, I will be posting a scary version in the next few days, be on the lookout.

Stamps: Just Jawing. Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.
I used Dazzling Diamonds to give his eye sockets some bling.

Have a great Sunday, thanks for coming.

Trick or Treat

Here, kitty, kitty, kitty, what cha doing up there on that wreath?

I'z in your wreath, scaring your visitorz.

......Sorry, couldn't resist.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I made this card last night when I was supposed to be making sure I
have everything ready for my workshop tomorrow. Hopefully I do,
because I looked at the Branch Out set that was out on my desk, and
thought the tree would make a great wreath. Then of course, since I'm
not doing bird cards this week, I had to make the owl into a kitty
again. I used the new Holiday Best Hostess set for the sentiment, but
added, the bird from the Branch Out set to add to the mood. Technically
it's still not a bird card, although I did cheat a little.

Whadaya think? Not sure why the kitty washed out, I did stamp him with
Stazon, but he is still cute. Plus, the ribbon on the top of the wreath
has slipped down, didn't notice until I looked at the posted picture.
Hopefully someone can gleem some inspiration from my mistakes, lol.
Thanks for coming, see ya'll later.

Embrace Life

Day 5 with NO BIRDS! It's killing me, I tell ya! I have a flower card today, I
like those, too, lol This card is very simple, but has an awesome look because of
the embossed vellum. If you haven't tried this technique, or don't know how, let
me know and I can write up a little tutorial, or if you are one of my friends and
customers, I can show you in person.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't it pretty? I just love this technique!

Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red, Cardstock Vellum. Ink: Black Stazon

Fall Fun Progressive Scrapbook Page

Hi Again, and happy Tuesday. Today I am sharing the scrapbook page I am doing
at a workshop this Saturday. It is a 6x6 and it would be perfect for pictures
of your kids playing in the raked leaves. What do you think?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic>

Now, if you are a 8-1/2 x 11 scrapbooker, you could add the above page to your
size album by adding just a couple of photo or journaling blocks and some leaves. Sorry I forgot to take the picture before I put it on the 12x12....typical.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And here is the finished 12x12 for those of you who scrapbook that size. Sorry
about the shadows in the picture, it is really late here and I am taking this at
my computer. Just add a journaling block and another title block, and there you
have it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I am hoping the ladies will enjoy it, and that they can see how easy it is to
make a great scrapbook page with Stampin' Up!, no matter what size you need.

If you are anywhere around Auburndale, Florida, we would love to have you at our
workshop. Feel free to drop in and have some fun with us.

Thanks for stopping by, see ya tomorrow.

Ellen's Ornament Acorn

I cased another of Ellen Kemper's awesome punched items. Check out her card here: http://blinkthinkink.blogspot.com/2009/08/ellen-punch-original.html Her acorn card was fabulous, and of course, I had to case it. It is very similar, although not exactly. I just love Ellen's work, and I consider her one of my best friends, although we have never met in person. Check out her blog daily, you will never be
disappointed. Here is my card.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is such a great fall card, and so easy to make. This acorn is another great use for the awesome Ornament Punch in the Holiday Mini. You know you NEED it, lol.

Thanks for stopping by, please leave me a comment, if you would, I really love
hearing from you.

Flamingo Fun

Happy Monday, and it's time for yet another card featuring a bird. Honestly, I am going to try really hard this week not to show any more bird cards, but I wanted to
share this one with you. It is a card made for the VC ROCKS! yahoo group. You had
to make something out of punches. The bird isn't original, I do not rmemeber whose
site I got it from, however.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Don't you just love it?

Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive,
Basic Black, Whisper White. Inks: Craft White, Regal Rose, Basic Black, Old Olive.
Punches: Scallop Oval, Scallop Circle, 3/4 Circle, Large Oval, Small Oval.

Have a wonderful day, See ya tomorrow.

Loads of Love

A couple of weeks ago I got together with a group of ladies and a gentleman to make cards for a
local nursing home. We made them shoebox swap style, and everyone had a great time. We sent 63 cards to the nursing home that day with one of our ladies. It really made me feel good to know that they will be appreciated. Today I am showing you my card. It is very simple, and I left the inside blank so that they may add whatever sentiment was needed. I was also going for a masculine card. Not really happy with the coloring on this one, but I sure hope the recipients enjoy these. It is a hinged card, if you haven't made one, let me know and I could share the how-to's.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Stamp set used is Loads of Love, colors are Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede. I also used the checkerboard textured plate and my Big Shot for the Dusty Durango layer.
Thanks for dropping in, see ya tomorrow.

Eastern Blooms

Today was a beautiful day here in Florida. A cold front came through and there was
actually a cool nip in the air. It only got up to the mid 80's today and it was
absolutely gorgeous! I wish we had more of these days here, but we will take what we
can get. Makes you want to make cards with birds on them, heehee.

Ha! And you thought I was gonna show you another bird card. Not today, nosiree.

Another of my favorite Stampin' Up! sets is Eastern Blooms, and it just doesn't see
enough ink. Here you go.....

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

See, pretty, huh? I saw these colors together on someone's blog, not sure whose,
unfortunately, and I think she may have used this stamp, too.
I go through so many
blogs daily, that I really need to write down who I was visiting when I see something
awesome that I want to case, or use as inspiration.

The details: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Kraft Cardstock. Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Chocolate Chip Stampin Write Markers. Extras: Old Olive Grosgrain
Ribbon and Brads.

And just because you have read this all the way through, you have, haven't you? I
am gonna include a picture that I took. This guy was in my
magnolia tree today, thought I would share. Isn't he gorgeous?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I don't know if you have noticed, but I do like me some birds, lol.

Have a fantastic day, thanks for dropping in.

Hello There, Owl

Another ATC, this time made with my favorite little owl from Animal Stories.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Love these little cards and they are perfect for card candy, too. You can add these
as the focal point of a card, or as an embellishment on a scrapbook page. Little pieces of happiness, lol. Try some, I think you will enjoy making them.

I used Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and Whisper White cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and
Olive Green Ink and Olive Green Grosgrain.

Until next time, thanks for stopping in.
