Today's card features the Always set. Always has been around a couple of years in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, but it is such a pretty set I love to use it. This card also uses the technique faux silk.
This is a very easy technique that gives great results. You just stamp your images on tissue paper, color in if needed, wad it up, flatten it back out, leaving some wrinkles, then spread our great Stampin' Up! Glue Stick all over the cardstock you are putting it on,in this case Whisper White, add tissue, and glue down making sure you get some wrinkles. That's it! Isn't it pretty?
Also used Old Olive, More Mustard and Perfect Plum on this card. Give this technique
a try. It's so easy, even a caveman can do it, lol.

But can a Caveman do it and have it come out so nice?
ReplyDeleteI need to try this technique with the Asian Artistry hostess set, I've only done faux silk once and it looked like a caveman had done it.
If I have tissue paper I will try it this morning.
TeeHeeHee, I can't believe it looked like a caveman could do it. You are awesome at what you do. Don't forget to show it to me when you're finished. I finally got that hostess set, so I want to find time to use it, maybe I will make one with this technique, too.
