Looking for Spring

We have had a beautiful week here in the Sunshine State, with lots of sunshine, beautiful skies, and cool weather, notice I said cool, not COLD! Amazing how we went from the heater to air conditioner in one day.

Anyway, I started thinking of Spring, and it brought me to this card. So simple, but so full of
the promise of beautiful weather.

YoYo Yellow, Certainly Celery and Whisper White cardstock, the Stampin' Up! exclusive Top Note (if you don't have this one, GET IT) and Daisies #2 Dies for the Big Shot, Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, assorted SU circle punches, and the stamp set name is eluding me at the moment, here at work, I don't have it in front of me. Sorry about that.

Thanks for dropping by. See you again soon

Happy Moments in Artichoke

That title just doesn't sound right, but alot of the things I say don't, so it stays, lol. I wanted to use my new Sale A Bration set, Happy Moments, and I wanted to emboss the bird cage with white, so I decided on Always Artichoke for the background, not sure why.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The birdcage is hanging from the flourish in the Stampin' Up! stamp set Baroque Motif, and elastic cording that was in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used Always Artichoke, Basic Black and Whisper White Cardstock, the Scallop Border, Modern Label and Word Window punches, and a vintage silver brad to finish it off.

Not sure I really like it, but unfortunately that happens from time to time. Thanks for looking today.

Nature Silhouettes

I really have a hard time with masculine cards. This one uses the Baby Wipe Swipe Technique
and I love the evening sky look that using these colors together gives you.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Elegant Eggplant, Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie reinkers for the sky, the same colors in cardstock, and Stazon to stamp the tree and wolf. Well, actually, I used Black craft ink, but Stazon would work much better.

Short and sweet again today. No one wants to read my yapping anyway. Have a great Wednesday.

Paper Roses, Paper Roses

Oh how real those roses seemed to beeeeee.

Anyone having a flashback to the late 70's, early 80's?

Today I am sharing a card with a paper rose, all the rage right now. Here is my version:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I am once again going to make this short and sweet. If you have questions, please ask. Thanks for popping in again today.

Fox & Friends

Sorry about being missing in action this weekend, my computer got a nasty virus and it took a
couple of days to get new anti virus software, and time for my son to fix it.

Today's card is a simple one using the little fox from Stampin' Up!s Occasions Mini Catalog. I hope
you enjoy him.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It is now after 12 A.M. so I hope to be back tomorrow with a more informational post. If you have
any questions, feel free to ask. thanks for coming by.

NSR Today

Sorry about the non stamping post today. I was exhausted last night and couldn't even keep my
eyes open, so instead of posting, I went to bed. But today.......

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I found this image two or three years ago, and loved it. I have kept it on my computer ever since
and every time I run across it, I smile. Hope it brings a smile to your face today. I will get back
with you tomorrow with a new card.

Thanks for visiting.

Mini Purse with Kisses

Today's post is another from our monthly Stamp Vamp meeting that my upline, Amanda Coughlin, has for us. A great way to get together and share some laughs, some business ideas, and some stamping fun.

This little purse is so cute, isn't it?

We used Mellow Moss, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White cardstocks. Small glassine envelopes, Whisper White Kisses, Pink Epoxy Brad and the With All My Heart stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog, The Scalloped Trim Border from the Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalog, and a mini clip and pink ribbon for the handle.

Amanda always has such adorable projects for us to make at our meetings, it is one of the highlights of my month.

Thanks for stopping in. More projects to come.

Mini Milk Carton

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Is this not stinkin' cute? This is made with the Mini Milk Carton Sizzix Die from Stampin' Up!
I had a chance to make this at my upline, Amanda Coughlin's monthly meeting on Monday night.
We had an absolute blast making 4 awesome projects. Thanks, Amanda for your support and
the awesome chance to get together and stamp.

This little mini milk carton uses Pale Plum cardstock and Mellow Moss, the Vintage Vogue stamp set and the Very Vintage Stampin Around Jumbo Wheel in the Occasions Mini Catalog. It also uses Perfect Plum ink, White Satin Ribbon, and a retired Pale Plum Button.

Don't you just love it? Perfect for little treats or gifts, and oh so easy with the Big Shot.

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon.

Happy Together Card Keeper Box

Last night I went to a meeting at my upline's home (Thanks, Amanda :o) and we had our gift exchange that was postponed in December to to illness. I am so happy, cuz this is what I received:
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

How awesome is this? And.......it has BIRDS!!!!!!!!! LOL! I was the lucky recipient of this gorgeous card keeper box made by my friend Gail Trask. Didn't she do an awesome job? I just
love it and it will have a place on my desk for my own cards waiting to be sent out. Thanks so much Gail for this gift, and I hope you really liked the tile I made. I enjoyed spending time with
you and catching up. With VC Rocks! starting soon, hopefully we will get a chance to get together and play again soon.

Gail used the Happy Together stamp set which is one of the ones you can earn during Sale-A-Bration, going on now. For more info, contact me. You know you want this set, and there's no better way to get it than FREE!

I appreciate you dropping in. More samples from my time with my Stampin' Up! Mom and Sisters to come. Be sure to stop back in and see what other awesome projects we made.

Over The Hill

Today's post uses an "oldie but goodie" stamp set, pun intended. It is too cute, even though
the picture is blurred. Sorry about that, we were having lunch at Waffle House, and I had forgotten to take a picture, so I held it up and took it, thus it is blurry.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't it just the cutest? My friend Debbie is having an Over The Hill party for her husband and
wanted something to put candy treats in for the party goers. I came up with these little bags.
I will be using wider ribbons on the ones for the party, but this is what I had for this sample.

Have a great Monday. Thank you for dropping by. Please leave a comment if you can, I haven't
had a single comment in THREE days. Sad, but true. I do appreciate your comments, cuz I don't
like to think I am talking to myself around here.

Bird on A Branch

Happy Valentine's Day! May you have a wonderful, love filled day!

Today's post is made with a set that I have wanted since I first saw it in the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Lavender Lace, Lovely Lilac, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White card stocks, Basic Black, Lavender Lace, Lovely Lilac, Orchid Opulence and Tempting Turquoise Inks and some
Orchid 1/4 grosgrain. I also used the Tres Chic Background Stamp.

I was looking for a simple but pretty card to introduce some new stampers to Stampin' Up! I
hope this fits the bill.

Have a great day, and please leave a comment, if possible. I would highly appreciate it.

Top Note Box With Daisy

I was playing with Mr. Big Shot again the other day, and here is what I came up with. I had lots of fun with this little box. I love the ease of making cute little packaging with the Big Shot.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used the Stampin' Up! exclusive Top Note Die, and the Daisies #2 Die and ran them through with Kraft and Real Red Cardstock, I also used the Sweet Stem Embosslit in Olive Green for the
leaves. I added some Chocolate Chip Ribbon and a 1.2" Chocolate Chip center to my flower, (cuz you knew it had to have Chocolate on it somewhere), and the sentiment from Tiny Tags in Real Red.

Hope you will come by again soon, I appreciate you.

V' Day Progressive Scrapbook Page

Ok, today's post is the page I will use for Valentine's Day in my scrapbook this year. I am also
using it, or at least the 6x6 version, for my Paper Paupers meeting on Saturday. I wanted it
to be simple and easily used for your significant other, children, or even your pet. Of course,
I had to use Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip, and the Stampin' Up! set Love Bandit, cuz I
LOVE all three of these. Here is the 6x6 for those of you who scrapbook in that size:

8-1/2 x 11:

and lastly, 12x12:

I really want to get back to scrapbooking more, it was my first love in papercrafting and I do
miss it, so look for more pages to come. Thanks for stopping in today, see you again soon.

Valentine?

This Valentine is a little, should I say, gothic? Not sure what to call it. lol. I started off with the
embossed metal, then really had a hard time trying to move on from there. This is what I ended
up with. I like it, but not sure it is everyone's cup of tea. What do you think?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Basic Black and Real Red cardstock on this card, and the Faux Embossed Metal Technique?
Not sure what it is called, but I do like it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Scallop Heart Valentine

We made Valentine's Day cards at Curves this past week, and this is the card we made. I love the new Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder for the Big Shot from Stampin' Up!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Real Red, Whisper White and Basic Black Cardstock and Real Red Ink was used on this easy to
make card. The above mentioned Dies and Folder, plus the Pinking Hearts Border and Large Heart Punch. I believe the sentiment is from Well Scripted.

Don't forget to check out the Occasions Mini and the Sale-A-Bration brochures in my left sidebar, you really don't want to miss out on this year's Sale-A-Bration, the most wonderful time of the year.

To make a purchase or schedule a workshop during Sale-A-Bration, contact me soon, I am crazy busy right now and dates are filling up fast.

Thanks for coming by on this Tuesday. See you again soon.

Baby Girl Dress Challenge

I saw a very cute little baby dress on Lynn Pratt's blog. She issued a challenge and I just had
to play along. Here is my baby dress:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't it cute? I really had fun making it. Thanks for the challenge, Lynn.

As usual, all supplies made by Stampin' Up!

Cardstocks: Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Vellum.
Other: Wonderful Wings Embosslit and Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder
for the Big Shot, Half Pearl from the Pretties Kit, and Eyelet Border Punch.

Thanks for stopping in, see ya again soon.

Dreams Du Jour

In my last minute preparations the other night, I was looking for a clean and simple card. I found it in this one. It reminds me of a card from Stamping 101, but it is such a pretty card, and adding Stampin' Up!s eyelet border punch, really dresses it up and makes it just what the doctor ordered.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The butterfly from Dreams Du Jour is stamped with Pretty in Pink on Whisper White, Punched with the 1-3/8 punch and then layered on Certainly Celery punched with the 1-3/4 punch.

Sorry about the smudge in the upper left corner, not sure where that came from, but it did get
passed around quite a bit today, and you know how inky stampers fingers are, lol.

Thanks for stopping by.

Owl Suspension Card

What's up with these blurry photos? So sorry. They seemed fine when I took them, but then that was after midnight, so who knows, maybe it's the photographer, lol.

This is my first attempt at a suspension card. I used the Love Bandit set (yes, again) cuz this
little owl is adorable. Love this card and this technique.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ballet Blue, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White and Old Olive are the colors used on this card.

Have a great Sunday, please leave a comment if you can find the time. Thanks!

Happy Saturday! I just wanted to let you know YOU ROCK!!!!! This card is one I made for my son for Valentine's Day and since he never looks at my blog, or probably isn't even aware I have a blog, it is perfectly safe to post it early.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Whisper White card stock on this card. so simple and this set Just Jawing is perfect for teen cards.

Simple Valentine's Day Card

Today I would love to share a simple card, with lots of pizazz. This card uses the Glitter Window technique. I love the bling it adds to a card. Once again a very simple technique, using stuff you already own, cuz who doesn't own glitter, lol?
This card was partially cased from another demo, sorry, but I haven't the foggiest idea who, but as you can tell, she is very talented.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I did change it up a bit, by cutting one of the card shorter and adding the new Scalloped Trim Border Punch and a paper bow and paper ribbon. The sentiment is from Tiny Tags. I used Whisper White and Real Red Cardstock, the new Small Heart Punch, and Dazzling Diamonds.

If you need to know how to do this technique, I will be glad to fill you in. You won't believe how easy it is.

Thanks for visiting today. See you again tomorrow.

Another Treat Box

Today I would love to share another treat box with you. This one is made using the Big Shot and the Matchbox die.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Once again, I used the Love Bandit set. If you are tired of it, I apologize, but it is so hard for me to put down, especially this little owl.

I also used a retired Stampin' Up! DSP, Rich Regal and Close to Cocoa card stocks, the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit and Perfect Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder (both in the Occasions Mini) for the Big Shot, the Large Heart, Word Window and Curly Label Punches, and a Turquoise Rhinestone Brad.

Hope you have found some inspiration here today. If not, come back tomorrow anyway, I will try harder, lol.

Embellishments

Did you know that if you are a stamper and a scrapbooker, you don't have to spend lots of money on those packaged embellishments for your pages? You can easily make your own. I am part of a swap group (HSM) and each month we each pick an element of a scrapbooking page, such as Title Bar, Journaling Block, 3D embellishments, tiles, easy deco, tags, etc., and we make enough for 10. The hostess swaps them out and sends us some of each so that we have the makings of at least
two pages, maybe more, or you can add some of the embellishments to a card, etc.

Ellen, if you don't want to see them, do not scroll down, lol.

This month I picked tiles. Here they are:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I love the Love Bandit stamp set. And I love making these little tiles. Everyone gets six, so I
made ten of each of these little buggers. Won't they look great on a scrapbook page, or a card?
If you have any questions on these, let me know.

I will try to put a page together when I get my swap back this month and share it. The work from these ladies is awesome!

Thanks for dropping by. See you tomorrow.

Happy Birthday and Treat Bags

First of all, I want to wish my sister Diane a Very Happy Birthday today. Love ya, Sis! Have a Fantastic Day.

Good Morning! Hope your week is off to a great start! I had a great weekend, with lots of time to
play. Of course, I really should have been cleaning, but I let the house take one for the team, lol.

A friend asked me to make some treat boxes or bags for Valentine's Day. Her is the first one I made. I got the idea from Mary Brown, a very talented paper crafter and Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I did change it up a bit to make it mine. I used the Love Bandit set, Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Close to Cocoa card stock, some Pretty in Pink Striped Ribbon, The Large Oval and Large Heart Punches, and the Matchbox Die andthe Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit for the Big Shot.

I hope this is what she has in mind for her treats. It is really cute. I don't have any candy in the house, thanks to our new healthy eating, so unfortunately I couldn't fill it.

Thanks for visiting today. Have a great Monday.
