True Friend Scrapbook Page

I have another post today made with the True Friend Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! of course. We
made this page at one of the Stampin' Up! Regionals awhile back. It is a great set, for both card making or scrapbooking as you can see. This is a 6 x 6 page, and I have yet to add a picture to it, but I will soon.

I am busy working on swaps, so I am making this short and sweet.

Thanks for coming by today.

True Friend

Happy Saturday and I hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend! Thank you for spending
a few minutes of it with me.

Today I am sharing a card made with True Friend. I love this set. It is one of the Boho type stamp sets that Stamping Up! has and it is another I think may retire. This is a very versatile set and I hope I am wrong about it retiring. Although, if it does, I'm sure that SU will replace it with something just as wonderful.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors used are Real Red, Close To Cocoa, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, and Pumpkin Pie Cardstocks. Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Versamark Inks, Real Red Gingham Ribbon and a
Mini Library Clip.

We will know on June 1st what will be retiring, so look for the list here and don't miss out on any
sets you can't live without.

Have a great day.

An Oldie But Definitely A Goodie

Today I would love to share a card made with one of my favorite Stampin' Up! sets of all time. It is called Balmy Breezes. I used this set so much when it was current, that my friends thought it was
the only one I owned, lol. I still pull it out from time to time since I still love it and it is a perfect set for Florida cards. Lookie.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't that palm tree gorgeous?

Hope you have enjoyed my Oldie but Goodie today.

As always, thanks for stopping by. I truly appreciate both of you, lol.

Dreams Du Jour

Today's post is a Stamping 101 card using the Dreams Du Jour stamp set, which is another one
I believe will retire. I hope I'm wrong on this one, it is truly a great set.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Melon Mambo Pumpkin Pie, Barely Banana and Whisper White cardstocks on this card,
Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Glorious Green, Barely Banana, and Gable Green Stampin' Write Markers, my trusty Big Shot and Flourish Texture plate the Scallop Border punch plus some Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon.

Thanks for dropping in today. VC Rockers, look for a make n take on this one, soon.

The Infamous VC Rocks! Blue Butted Monkey

Today's post is dedicated to VC Rocks! (accepting new members through May 30, 2010) and the infamous blue butted monkey. Isn't he the cutest? He causes lots of havoc, however. You never
know when he might be monkeying around in some unsuspecting rockers hotel room, swinging from the light fixtures, stealing swaps and card stock, and this one seems to be wearing some rockers lipstick.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

See what I mean? If you want to know more about VC Rocks, go HERE and join in on the
fun. I will warn you, this is a high email group, and it does require participation. We are only
open during the summer to celebrate the Stampin' Up! Convention. We have swaps, classes, challenges, RAK's and most of all, loads of FUN! Time is running out to join this year, only until the end of May, so check it out now.

On June 1st, we will be able to see Stampin' Up!'s 2010 retirement list. I think this set is going
away. It is only a guess. We will not know until then, but I will try to post cards made with sets
I think are gonna retire for the next few days and see how many I get right, lol. If you have any
guesses, let me know and if I have that set, I will try to make a card with it.

Have a GREAT day. Thanks for stopping by.

Nature Silhouettes

Well, as I was scrambling for something to put on my blog for today, I realized I would have to break down and make something. I hate it when that happens, because, it was 30 minutes before time for this to post and I got nothing. So I scrambled. What should I do? What do I have on and near my desk, lol. Basically lazy, that's me, especially at 11:30 pm, lol.

Lucky for me I had Basic Black and Bashful Blue cardstock and the Nature Silhouette Stampin' Up! stamp set out. So that is what you get. I did have to get up to get the Glossy White for the sky, but other than that everything was within arms reach. Hope you enjoy today's quick and easy card.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I made the background with Bashful Blue and Night of Navy Ink Pads used direct to paper, then sponged on the Perfect Plum. Stamped the Tree in Stazon Black. The sentiment was from the Oval All set, I believe, but it was in the Nature Silhouette case, so I used it. I believe this would make a
lovely Sympathy card also, with the sentiment changed, of course.

Thanks for coming in today. Hope your Tuesday is a fantastic one.

Cards Kids Get- Reject # 2

Ok, today you will get to see the second Rejected card for my Cards Kids Get. I really liked this
card, too, but I gave the three cards I had made to my friend Amy and told her to pick one, and of
course, she chose the one I started with in the first place, lol. So that is the one I will send. You won't be able to see that one, until all the participants get theirs back. Here is todays card:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This card is very similar to the card I showed you yesterday. It also has a removable bookmark,
however, this one was just cut, not using a die. I used Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and Barely Banana card stocks and Inks plus Creamy Caramel Ink for the ground. I also used the Polka Dot
Embossing Folder for the Big Shot and the Wide Oval, Slit and 1/4" circle punches. To finish it
off I used the Pretty in Pink Gingham Ribbon and the Signo White Gel Pen. Stamp set used is
Build A Bear by Stampin' Up!

Thanks for looking today. I appreciate you.

Heartfelt Thanks and Cards Kids Get-Reject

First of all today, I would like to thank everyone so much for the kind words and encouragement left me in yesterday's comments. You don't know how much it means to me. I couldn't have
gotten as far as I have without the encouragement from family and friends like all of you. Thanks,
from the bottom of my heart.

Now, on to today's post. I am signed up for a VC Rocks swap called Cards Kids Get and the last
few nights I have been playing around with some stamp sets. I had one card made, then decided
it was too much work, then tried this one and didn't like it, either. Here is the 1st reject:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This card uses the Animal Crackers stamp set, So Saffron, Bashful Blues and Certainly Celery card stocks and inks, Soft Suede Stampin Write marker, Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain, Two Tags Die and Textured Impressions Folders and my Big Shot. I also used the Large Star Punch and a Certainly Celery Brad.

Not to bad, the colors were too babyish, but I liked the concept, so I rejected this one and tomorrow you will see the next reject, lol.

Hope you enjoyed this one, Thanks for stopping by again today. If you are on VC Rocks, look for
this card as a Make n Take soon.

Motorcycle........Yes AGAIN

This was the other card I took for my shoebox swap on Monday night. This was my third try. The other two you have seen the last few days, they were either too much for the time allotted, (the girly motorcycle card) or just not what I was looking for, (the Elements of Style spotlight card). This one fit the bill, so here you have it:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Using Motorcycle, of course and the Sentimental Journey stamp sets, Whisper White,Chocolate Chip, and More Mustard Card Stocks and Log Cabin Smooch Spritz, some distressing, and an antique brad to finish it off. Easy Peasy Chicken Squeezy! (thanks, Brandy, lol)

Thanks for stopping by again today. Comments are appreciated!

Watercolor Trio in Versamark

Ok, so I needed a couple of shoebox swap cards for my uplines meeting on Monday, and was at
a loss to come up with something. I pulled out some card stock, ended up with Sahara Sand and Soft Suede, then Real Red. They do look good together, although this is the first time I have used them. I may need to pull out this combo again. Yeppers.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I stamped an image from Watercolor Trio (Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog) in Versamark
ink several times on smaller Sahara Sand piece. Then using Soft Suede, I stamped another quote from Favorite Sayings over the versamarked images. Added some Real Red brads then layered it on Soft Suede, then Real Red embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder ( You NEED this one!) then onto more Sahara Sand and Soft Suede.

Have a great day, now GO STAMP SOMETHING!

Spotlighting Elements of Style

Hello Again. Hope your week is going well. Thanks for coming by today to check out my blog.

Here is todays card. I love black and white cards, but I always want to add something, so today
I did. I added my favorite All A Flutter butterfly and some spotlighting on one of the Elements
flowers. See?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

So what do you think? Too much? I sponged So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie on the Butterfly, and
the used the same colors to color in the flower with my Stampin' Write Markers. I also used the Polka Dot Embossing folder from Stampin' Up! with my trusty Big Shot. Simple, but pretty. IMHO.

See ya again soon, hopefully. I appreciate you all.

Motorcycles-Not for Men Only

Today's card is made using the A la carte stamp from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog,
called Motorcycle. Now, I just used it the other day for the blog hop, so you are probably thinking "Oh, No, Not again! Is that the only stamp she has?", but this one is completely different. Lookie.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

See? Isn't it beautimous? I turned it into a girly card. I used the White Smooch Spritz on the Basic Gray Card Stock, and Lots of Dazzling Diamonds on the Pretty in Pink Motorcycle. I also used the Favorite Thoughts stamp set (also in the Summer Mini) for this great quote. The new
cog punch finished the card off, although I will probably add some glitter to the cogs, I mean, what kind of girl doesn't glitter her cogs? ROFLMBO.

Thanks for dropping by today.

Tomorrow is another day, and I will have another card, lol. Please come back. Comments are
appreciated.

Tropical Party Sunset

Hello, and Happy Monday. I hope everyone hopped on the VC Rocks! First Blog Tour this past weekend! There was some fabulous talent and awesome projects to share. I had a great time. Look for another one coming soon.

Today's project is a sunset card. In honor of the day I spent at the beach on Friday.
We had a blast. Just walking the beach, shelling, dolphin watching, and taking pictures. My kind of day. Here is my sunset.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I tried to keep this as simple as possible, but it really was a lot of work. The cardstock used is
Summer Sun, Basic Black and Regal Rose and Glossy White. The same goes for the inks, plus Only Orange. Masked the sun and sponged, used the Regal Rose and Only Orange pads direct to paper, then sponged on the Summer Sun to balance it out and cover the Glossy White. Masked the bottom and sponged .Stamped the palms and the grasses. Die cut it with the Top Note Die and my trust Big Shot. Added a Regal Rose Word Window and a few Silver Brads. I like it.

Thanks for coming by today. Have a great day!

VC ROCKS Bloghop1

Hi, and Welcome to our first VC Rocks! Blog Hop. This post will remain at the top
all weekend.

I am so excited to be part of this hop, and of VC Rocks!. A Virtual Convention and celebration of Stampin' Up! This is
an awesome group! We have swaps, games, challenges, classes, a virtual hotel with real roomies, we form awesome friendships and most of all we have FUN!

You have most likely hopped here from Veronica's blog.
I hope you are enjoying all the wonderful artwork you have seen so far, we have
some awesome stampers in this group.

If you should get lost along the way or are coming here just because, you can go
to the VC Rocks! blog
to find a list of all participants and their links.

For our first VC Blog Hop, we are featuring retiring colors and/or Summer Mini products.

My project for today is using the a la carte stamp, Motorcycle, from the Summer Mini Catalog. A la carte stamps are a great value and are all just wonderful. Check them out today at the back of the Summer Mini and 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog.

Here is my project for today:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

You really can't see the shine and dimension on this card, nor the sparkle on the
Whisper White from the Smooch Spritz, but it is there and it is really cool. What
a great Father's Day card this would make!

Here are your supplies and instructions:

Motorcycle Stamp
Black Stazon
Real Red and Basic Black Stampin Write Markers
Silver Eyelets
Crimper
Silver Smooch Spray
Crystal Effects

Cardstock:

1 pc Basic Gray 5-1/4 x 4
Mark the halfway mark on all four sides with a pencil. Score across all four
corners from marks on the sides, then fold those four corners in. Run through
crimper with one of the points going in first. After you run it through unfold
piece of cardstock. Add eyelets to all four corners, add Crystal Effects to
the inside of eyelets, (aha! faux rhinestone brads!). set aside.
1 pc Basic Black 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scrored and folded for card base.
1 pc Real Red 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
1 pc scrap printer paper. Do it exactly like the piece of Basic Gray, only this time
cut the center diamond out and use it for a template for your layers and stamped
image pieces. Make:
1 pc in Whisper White and cut 1/4" off each side.
1 pc in Real Red and cut 1/8 off each side
1 pc in Basic Black and cut 1/16 off each side.
These measurements may not be quite accurate. You may want to just layer as
you go to make it fit. It isn't that easy to trim these diamonds down. :o)

Stamp image onto Whisper White with Black Stazon and color in with markers. Spray
with Smooch Spritz Spray, then using Crystal Effects, add shine and dimension to
fenders and gas tank. Kinda gives it the Candy Apple Red look.

Mount to Real Red Diamond, then to Basic Black, then onto Basic Gray. Layer that onto Real Red Layer and onto Basic Black Card.

There you have it! My first ever Blog Hop card. I hope you have enjoyed it.

Now, on to the next stop in our Hop. Tammy Howell

Fossil Stone Technique

In honor of Father's Day coming in June, I would like to show you a very unique
background technique that looks great on masculine cards. I believe it is called the Fossil Stone technique.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't that a great background for a guy card? The stamp set used is the retired Nature Reserve (or Preserve) from Stampin' Up!Colors used are Creamy Caramel, and
Always Artichoke.

Here is how to get this look:

Steal(I mean borrow) a page protector from your kid.Cut down the side so that it opens like a book. Open it up.Using your stamp pad, apply ink to one side of the page protector, then put a second color on the other side. Lightly spritz with water. close page protector and mush the color around a
little. open back up and put your cardstock in and reclose. Cardstock will pick up
the color and Voila! you get this great background. If you don't like the colors you chose you may want to play around with different colors, to get a different look.

Thanks for popping in today. Any questions, just ask. Don't forget VC Rocks! Blog Hop is May 15th and 16th, so drop in tomorrow to see what we have in store for you.

Masculine Birthday

I needed a Birthday card for a friend who loves to fish. Stampin' Up! doesn't have any fish stamps in the catalog right now, but I am hoping to see some in the new Idea Book & Catalog when it makes it's debut in July.

In the mean time, I pulled out a retired set called....Aw, Geez! I don't remember
the name of it. Someone help me out, will ya? It was on the tip of my tongue, and
I really don't want to go dig it out again. Oh, well, when I think of it, I will come
back and add it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I think you can figure out colors, etc. today. I am busy getting ready for tomorrow's VC ROCKS! blog hop. Don't forget to stop by and see what all of the Rockers have in store for you.

Thanks for stopping in today. Comments are appreciated.

Little Bitty..........Critters!

I must say, I've been pretty good lately about making projects that do not contain
critters of any type. A few here and there, but not as many as I usually make. Today
I am giving you a double dose of tiny little critters from the new Stampin' Up! set called Bouquet Bunch. Not only does it have these awesome flower/bush/tree images, but it has this adorable little squirrel and bird.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Whisper White cardstock, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Stazon Black inks.

The little flower came from the Itty Bitty Bits set, and it was punched out with the matching punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I also added some So Saffron Striped Grosgrain and a little tag stamped with the Tiny Tags set from the Occasions
mini and punched with the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch.

If you just can't live without any of this new stuff, check out my
Demonstrator Business Web Site
and you can get it shipped directly to you. Or call or emailme and I will order it for you.

So glad you dropped by today! Don't forget about this weekend's VC ROCKS! Blog Hop.

Pedaling Past

Today's post showcases another stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog. It is
called Pedaling Past and it is stinkin' cute! I love the image of the little tricycle. The bikes are
old fashioned looking and great for masculine cards, also. Here is today's card:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Yo Yo Yellow, Real Red and Brilliant Blue on this one. It just screams for Primary Colors,
don't ya think? This is a Stamping 101 card.

Don't forget that Yo Yo Yellow and Brilliant Blue are being retired. Get 'em while they last, ladies.

Thanks for stopping in.

I will be participating in the First VC Blog Hop this weekend, so get ready to see some great
artwork, May 15th and 16th.

Sweet Scoops 2

Here is another card made with the Sweet Scoops set from the Summer Mini Catalog. I cased it from a swap my Stampin' Up! Mama, Amanda Coughlin, thanks for having me over Amanda. Sorry I didn't get the name of the demo who made this one, but isn't it beautiful?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Of course, it doesn't hurt that it is in my favorite colors, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, and Certainly Celery. I did add the soft serve cone on the bottom, popped up on a dimensional to
change it up just a little.

Great card, huh? If you want this set, let me know, or you can go to my left sidebar and click
on the blue ink that says Shop for Stampin' Up! on.... to go to my Demonstrator Website where you can shop directly from there. If you go, don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack. Just click on Shop Now in the upper right corner and look in the drop down menu for National Scrapbooking Month and other specials.

Hugs and thanks for dropping by. Once again, comments are appreciated.

Well, it's Monday again and I would like to share another card we made at the Paper Paupers hostess club on Saturday. It uses the new Watercolor Trio Stamp set from the Summer Mini

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I also used the Square Lattice embossing folder from the Summer Min, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Whisper White Card stocks and Ink, plus So Saffron ink and Ribbon.

really pretty, don't you think? thanks for coming by. Comments are appreciated.

Sweet Scoops

Hi Everyone, and Happy Saturday! I spent some time at my upline's house yesterday and played with one of the new sets in the Stampin' Up! mini catalog called Sweet Scoops. It is
really a cute set and now it is on my wish list. Here is one of the cards I made.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We also used the new wheels from the mini, sorry the name was on the tip of my tongue, but I lost it. Happens a lot. Colors are Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie. We also used the Two Tags Die for the Big Shot and made a little pull out
bookmark.

Have a great weekend, see you again soon.

The Same.....But Different

Ok, I know today's post is gonna look alot like some of the other posts I have shared this week but I promise, it's different. Yes, it's using the new Elements of Style from the Summer Mini and yes, it's in Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. But it's still different. This is one of the projects for my Paper Paupers hostess club this Saturday. I still need to tweak it a little, but I hope my ladies like it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is the front of the little album.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The inside three pages.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

One of the three pull out tags.

There is one more page that I photographed twice and both times it turned out really blurry, so I guess you wont get to see that one. Sorry about that.

Glad you stopped in today. Let me know what you think about my little Mother's Day scrapbook. I will have something made with a different set tomorrow. Try to contain your excitement.

A Few Little Birdies

Hi, and happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend. WhooHoo!

Today's post is a card I made to try out the new wheels in Stampin' Up! new Summer Mini Catalog. If you haven't seen them take a
look at my website (see blue Shop Now in left sidebar) or the Click on the Summer Mini in the sidebar. I really don't use my wheels enough, and these are three in one. Awesome, and you can even buy uninked three cell cartridges so that you can make it three colors. How cool is that?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is a retired set called A Little Birdie Told Me and it was under my stamping table.
Not sure why it was there, but it has a bird, so I used it. You have to admit I have been really good about not posting birds lately.

Colors used are Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. It really isn't my style, but
it was fun. great kids card, I think.

And now, just because I haven't shared any in awhile, are a few of my latest pictures from around my yard and my neighborhood.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ok, so we have got a little rain lately. and this was around the corner from my house, but these
poor sea birds seem to be a little lost.

Now this is in my yard, and before we got all the rain we got last week.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And this gorgeous guy was sitting on my back fence.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This one belongs to the neighbors and I guess he doesn't like his picture being taken. Look at the look he is giving me:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Last but not least is this beautiful guy.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Hope you have enjoyed my pictures today. It is another passion of mine.

Thanks for coming. Gonna play at my upline's house today, so should have some awesome stuff
for you tomorrow. I would love to hear your comments. Please share.

Elements of Style NotePad Holder

Today I would like to share a gift I made for a friend. It is along the same lines as the card I
posted a day or so ago, except that I stepped it up a little for this notepad.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

After stamping the Pretty in Pink cardstock with the flourish from this Elements of Style set,I inked up my stamps, first in Chocolate Chip ink, then in Versamark and then Embossed them
with Irridescent Ice. I then watercolored with Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery Inks. I then
distressed the edge of the Very Vanilla Piece and sponged some ink around the outside.

I did the same thing with the hummingbird, once on Certainly Celery and again on Very Vanilla
mounted one atop the other with dimensionals to give him some dimension, then put him on the Very Vanilla piece that had been layered on a embossed (Square Lattice....again) piece of Chocolate Chip.

Down at the bottom, I used the new set Rough Alphabet and stamped the word notes out and
then punched them with a 1/2"circle punch and layered them on a 3/4" circle punched from
Chocolate Chip. I layered a piece of Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon on a piece of Chocolate Chip
Satin Ribbon and added a Chocolate Chip Courduroy Brad. Added the punched pieces on top and there you have it.

I hope you like it, and I really hope she does. Kelly, here is the watercoloring you were dying
to do to that last card. Better now? LOL.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Yet Another VC Challenge.

This was our last Challenge at VC before the new members started flooding (lol) in. We have lots of new members and we Welcome them all, but boy there are lots of them :o)

We were to emboss part of a quarter sheet of light neutral cardstock, which I did with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. Then wait for further instructions. The next day, Kimm told us we had to stamp one sentiment on the sheet, cut 1/4 off each side, layer it on a neutral dark cardstock, and add 3 embellishments, brads, ribbons, rhinestones, etc.

Here is my card:
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip cardstock (no surprise there) and used the debossed side
of the embossed layer. I added Barely Banana brads to the centers of three of the flowers, and used the sentiment from Elements of Style.

Now here is my card after I put some color on it with my Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery Markers, cuz I couldn't stand it the other way:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I'm still not in love with it, but I do like it better. So much for my challenge, I just couldn't leave it alone.

Thanks for dropping by today. Have a fantastic Tuesday!

Elements of Style and Summer Mini Catalog

Happy May! Can you believe it's already May? I can because it's getting really hot outside here in Florida. I can't complain, though, it's usually hot earlier in the year. I think we may actually had a winter and spring this year. Imagine that!

Oh, and I would like to let you know that I have restarted my Demonstrator Web Site. You can go there to shop, 24 hours, or check out the projects, or what events I have on my calendar, or you can go there to join my team. My recruiting password is Strawberry Stampers. Check it out in my left sidebar where it says Shop Now, or here

Today's card was cased from Stampin' Up's new Demo site called Stampin' Connection. I did change it up by using the new Embossing Folder from the Summer Mini Called Square Lattice, but
the stamp set, Elements of Style and cardstock, and ribbon are the same. This Satin Ribbon is to die for, let me tell you, it is sooo pretty. Anyway, here is the card:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I also used the new Smooch Spritz spray in Log Cabin on the card. Love this stuff!

Hope you enjoyed todays card. Sorry about being MIA for the weekend, but look around, you will see lots of new things in my sidebar including this months National Scrapbooking Day specials.

When you visit my Demo website don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack under Shop Now in the right hand corner. Great deals to be had there, but they change when supplies are exhausted, so don't miss out.

Under Construction

I'm sorry for not posting today, I am trying to add all the new buttons, etc. to my blog today for my new Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Website, new cattys, new specials, etc. hopefully I can add a project later today. Please bear with me. Thanks.
