Yet Another VC Challenge.

This was our last Challenge at VC before the new members started flooding (lol) in. We have lots of new members and we Welcome them all, but boy there are lots of them :o)

We were to emboss part of a quarter sheet of light neutral cardstock, which I did with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. Then wait for further instructions. The next day, Kimm told us we had to stamp one sentiment on the sheet, cut 1/4 off each side, layer it on a neutral dark cardstock, and add 3 embellishments, brads, ribbons, rhinestones, etc.

Here is my card:

I used Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip cardstock (no surprise there) and used the debossed side
of the embossed layer. I added Barely Banana brads to the centers of three of the flowers, and used the sentiment from Elements of Style.

Now here is my card after I put some color on it with my Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery Markers, cuz I couldn't stand it the other way:

I'm still not in love with it, but I do like it better. So much for my challenge, I just couldn't leave it alone.

Thanks for dropping by today. Have a fantastic Tuesday!

  1. I think they are both lovely!

  2. Pretty in Pink and Celery area GREAT pairing! Thanks for entering the Shadow box drawing. Good Luck!

  3. Love that embossing folder. I have it but have not used it yet. Great cards Carolyn.

  4. You're so funny, Carolyn. I wouldn't have been able to leave it alone either! :o) Coming over on Thurs.? What time?
