Tree Trimmings

Todays Card is a Christmas card in a slightly different color scheme. Melon Mambo and Silver. I wanted to go non traditional, and this is what I decided on. I got the layout from another Demo on Stampin' Connection, the awesome Stampin' Up! Demo only website. I just love how this turned out.

I embossed the smaller ornaments in Silver embossing powder and the scalloped piece is Brushed Silver card stock.

I hope you like this card. I think I will go back and add some silver cord to the tops of the ornaments or maybe small bows. not sure, but I think it needs something, lol. Anyway.....

Thanks so much for dropping in again today. Comments are greatly appreciated.

Beautiful Birthday Card

Whoohoo! I had a wonderful birthday on Saturday! Today I want to share the birthday card my BFF, Amy, made me. It is absolutely gorgeous! Isn't it?

I was spoiled rotten for my birthday and this card was the icing on the cake, so to speak, lol.

Thanks, Amy, for being who you are, and thanks to all of you for the well wishes.

Have a great Monday! The Christmas card I promised you will be here tomorrow, so see ya then.

Playing Hookie

Sorry, but I am playing hookie today. It's my birthday and I was gonna make a birthday card last night to share today, but got terribly lazy, and didn't. I thought I would share a picture of my cactus blooming in my front yard a few days ago. Isn't it just beautiful? I will be back on Monday with a really pretty Christmas card, but until then, have a great weekend! I am gonna do all the things I want to do today, lol.

Another Come to Bethlehem Christmas Card

Happy Black Friday! If you have stopped in today, I do appreciate you, I know many of you were up at the crack of dawn or even earlier shopping, so thank you for taking time out of your day to visit my blog.

Today's card is a very simple Christmas card using Stampin' Up!'s Come to Bethlehem stamp set. I love this set, but do not own it. Unfortunately, you cannot have them all :o(. I went to my downline, Debbie's home to show her how to stamp on candles and stamped an extra image for me. I really didn't know the words were crooked until I was putting it on my card. So sad.

Take a look:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used the Faux Silk technique on this card, Night of Navy and Whisper White card stocks and some Gold Waffle Paper. Then added a small Pearl on the star to finish it off.

Hope you have enjoyed today's simple card. And that you are not too exhausted from your shopping. Have a fantastic Friday, see you again soon.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today's share is a 6x6 Scrapbook page. It doesn't use traditional Thanksgiving colors, but I liked the card I shared a few days ago so much, I wanted to make it my scrapbook page this Thanksgiving. Not sure what the smudge is, but it must have been on my camera, cuz it isn't
on the page.

The colors I used for this are More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Rich Razzleberry, and Very Vanilla. I added some hemp twine and an Artichoke Button. The texture on the side is the
Square Lattice die and the sentiment is punched with the Decorative Label Punch.

Thanks so much for visiting today. I will be taking tomorrow off to spend time with my family, so have a very wonderful and happy Thanksgiving, and hug the ones you love.

All in The Family

Hi. Today's post is the matching card for the frame in yesterday's post. I was going to put the two in one post, but couldn't quite figure out how to do it, lol. So you get it today.

Same colors, same cute little girl, same sentiment, and just as darn cute as the frame.

I absolutely love them both. Amy made this card, while I was cutting out and sponging the alphabet in the background of the framed art.

What a great gift this will be for someone special.

Thanks for dropping in today. Come back soon, and hug the ones you love.

All in The Family Catalog Case

Today's share is a direct case from Stampin' Up!'s 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. Lots of ladies will tell me that they are not creative, and that is why they can't take up stamping. Well, I
just show them the catalog and tell them that all they have to do is look in the catalog for inspiration. That is why all the gorgeous samples are in there. This frame is the perfect example.

We (as in Amy and I) did change it up just a little to adjust to the smaller frame, but otherwise it is the same.

I think this is just too cute. Thanks to Amy for helping me put this together, I can cut out tiny things all day, but lining them up and sticking them down is a whole 'nother issue, LOL.

Colors used are Pear Pizzazz, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Poppy Parade.

Have a great day. Comments are what bloggers work for, so I would love to read what you think of this project.

SUStars Blog Hop

Welcome to this months SUStars Blog Hop! SUStars is a group of Demonstrators who personify the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart. We LOVE what we do and SHARE what we love. There are so many talented ladies on this months hop, so sit back and enjoy.

You have probably hopped here from Denise Foor's blog. She has some amazing projects for this months hop.

I love to use sets for Christmas that are not Christmas cards, so I chose to share a very simple but beautiful Christmas Card today made
with my favorite set of all time, Lovely As A Tree. This set has been my go to set for some many occasions, and it always comes through beautifully.

I stamped the stand of trees and sentiment with Versamark onto Night of Navy card stock then embossed with
Gold embossing powder. I then used White Smooch paint to add some snow to the trees and ground. Brushed Gold Card Stock is my layer. It really brings out the gold embossing. I added
brads to each side of the sentiment, then misted the whole card with Champagne Shimmer spray.

This card is so easy, yet so elegant. You could crank out quite a few of these babies in a short amount of time and everyone would think you spent hours, lol.

Thanks so much for hopping with us this weekend! Your next stop is Vicki Howell's blog, Inky Fingers. I know she is gonna WOW you.

I would love it if you could leave a comment, I do appreciate them all. Have a great weekend and happy hopping.

Snowflakes

As you all know, I live in Florida, so snowflakes are not really something we see, although we did
see some here in Central Florida in 1978, I believe. So, we make ours out of other things, like Whisper White card stock.

This card is very simple using the Snowflake Embossing Folder and Northern Frost Die for the Big Shot. I'm sorry, but not sure those are the correct names. I have everything packed in my car at the moment and am guessing, but they are both in the Holiday Mini Catalog. (yes, I should know, but I'm old, lol)

Colors are Whisper White and Bashful Blue. You cannot see the shimmer here, but I used our Champagne Shimmer Paint in a mist to spray over this card, it is really beautiful. The new Decorator Label Punch is also on this card. It really is my go to punch for sentiments these days, so if you don't have it, you need it. Really.

Have a great Friday. Comments are appreciated.

Yet Another Paisley Prints

Hello, and happy Thursday! Today's card is yet another card made with Paisley Prints. I originally bought this set because I like paisley, and saw it used as the breast piece on my favorite owl punch. Crazy, but true. I have since found that I love this set and have used it a lot. If you visit here often, you already know that. LOL.

This layout and color combo I saw on Stampin' Connection, a website for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. It is just one of the awesome perks to being a SU Demo. You can be one, too, and for only $87.50 through the end of November. AND you will get $310.00 worth of merchandise for your money. An AMAZING deal. Contact me today for more information, or go to my Demo website by clicking on SHOP NOW in my
left sidebar.

Ok, colors used for this card are Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke. Hope you have
enjoyed this card today and thanks to the Demo for the original idea.

Thanks to you for visiting. I would love to hear what you thought. Hugs,

Lovely As A Tree

What would Christmas be without at least one card made with the Lovely As A Tree stamp set by Stampin' Up!?
I just love the images in this stamp set. They lend themselves to so many occasions, and Christmas is no
excepti0n.
colors used are Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke, and Whisper white. I used some Bravo Burgundy grosgrain ribbon, and the Top Note die for the Big Shot, and of course
Dazzling Diamonds to give it some glitter. You can't see it, but both Top Note layers are popped up. It is really stunning in real life, I promise.
thanks for stopping by again today. I truly appreciate you.
hugs,

Amy's Dasher

Good Morning. Today's post is another fabulous card by my BFF, Amy. We had another
mega stamp a thon last night, and this is one of the cards she came up with. I really like it.

Stamp is Dasher, by Stampin' Up! of course, and the colors are Old Olive, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla. Yes, she used my favorite embossing folder again on this one, the Square Lattice.

Hope you enjoyed today's card, leave Amy a message if you liked it, it will make her day.

Have a great one, and thanks for stopping by today.

Another Paisley Prints

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It is all about family, friends, and giving thanks, and I
have so much to be thankful for, so today I am sharing yet another Thanksgiving card made with Paisley Prints.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This set is just so pretty and this card uses some gorgeous fall colors. Cajun Craze, More Mustard, and Old Olive. I also used my favorite embossing folder, Square Lattice.

Thanks so much for coming by today. See you again soon.

Guest Artist, Amy and Fox 's Friend

Today's card was made by my friend, Amy. It is absolutely adorable. I love Fox and Friends and we were talking about it and decided that the Santa hat from the retired Crab & Company would look cute on these little guys, so she decided to try it out and this was the result. Lookie:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't he just too cute? I really like the way this turned out.

Leave Amy a comment and let her know what you think. Thanks for coming in again today.

Christmas Cardinal

Well, today I am going to use one of my very favorite stamps sets. Christmas Cardinal. I love this
very realistic bird. So pretty, I just can't stop using it. Today's card is a simple one, using Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Old Olive. Take a look.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I adhered the stamped and colored oval onto the Cherry Cobbler then sent them through the Big
Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. Then added this piece to the Crumb Cake card base. A little sponging and there you have it. Another simple, yet beautiful card.

Thanks, as usual, for dropping by. See you soon.

Honoring Our Veterans

Veteran's Day Poster. Honoring All Who Served This poster was created by j. Luke Borland of the Air Force News Agency. Air Force Link

THE HISTORY OF VETERANS DAY 1918, World War I, then normally referred to simply as The Great War (no one could imagine any war being greater!), ended with the implementation of an armistice [temporary cessation of hostilities—in this case until the final peace treaty, the infamous Treaty of Versailles, was signed in 1919] between the Allies and Germany at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of November, 1918.

My deepest thanks to all who have served. God Bless each and every one.

Peace on Earth

Today's post is a Christmas Card I made using the Level 2 Hostess set in the Stampin' Up! Holiday
Mini Catalog called Peaceful Season. This is an absolutely beautiful stamp set. Look at this beautiful card.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is a very simple yet WOW card IMHO. I used Whisper White and Marina Mist card stock. The Northern Flurry Embossing Folder for the Big Shot and I know you can't see it in the picture, but this card REALLY shimmers. I used Shimmer Paint to make a mist and sprayed it heavily onto the card. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Thanks for coming in today. Comments are appreciated.

Christmas Collage I Love This Stamp

Ok, today I am cheating. It's as simple as that. I wanted to share the card I made at my last
workshop with the guests at Sunday's workshop, but ran out of the ribbon I used for that card, so I changed it up, but only in the colors and came up with this card:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Everyone knows how much I love Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink together, or Chocolate Chip and almost ANY other color, cuz as my friend Ellen Kemper says, "Everything goes with Chocolate Chip!" But seriously, this card is soooo pretty! The ladies loved it. I used Very Vanilla card stock, then when all the sponging was done, I spritzed the whole card with Shimmer
Paint mist that I made with Champagne Shimmer Paint and Alcohol.

If you would like to get some friends together and learn how to make this gorgeous card, get in
touch with me soon. Time is running out to start on those Christmas Cards.

I appreciate your support, and for taking time out of your busy schedule to stop in. Have a wonderful day.

Paisley Gratitude

Hello Ladies, and Gentlemen, if there are any out there visiting. Today's post is a Thanksgiving
card made with the Stampin' Up! Sets Paisley Prints, Day of Gratitude and Woodgrain. I just
love these sets and fall cards in general, the colors are so warm and inviting, just like homes
during the holidays.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I got this layout and idea from Stampin' Connection, a Stampin' Up! website where Demonstrators can go to share ideas, and talk about everything Stampin' Up! I changed the
card up a bit to make it mine. Different colors, sentiment, and I used the Paisley textured plate for the Big Shot for the Pumpkin Pie layer.

Hope you enjoyed today's post, thanks for coming by today. Comments are appreciated.

Masculine Card

Hello there, it's FRIDAY!!!!! WhooHoo!! Today's post is going to be short and sweet, cuz I have a lot to do today. I am sharing a card today that I made a while back with a really cool technique, which for the life of me, I cannot remember the name of. Another reason for the short post, lol. This a fantastic masculine card.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used all Stampin' Up! products on this card, In Basic Black and Vanilla, the Cheesecloth Background Stamp (retired) and another set which I cannot recall the name of, pretty sad,
huh? Anyway, I loved this card, and so did the recipient, my hubby.

Thanks for coming by today. Have a wonderful Friday.

City of David

Today I have a gorgeous Christmas Card made with the City of David set from Stampin' Up! This set is retired, but you could use the Come to Bethlehem set and it would
look really pretty with this layout, too.

This card was made by my friend Amy, it was her Christmas Card last year and I just
love it.

Isn't it pretty? Be sure to leave a comment to let her know how you liked her card, and thanks for stopping by again today.

The Jolliest Time of The Year

Today's post is by a dear friend of mine who is going through some tough things right now. She has been on my mind lately, and I ran across this card she sent me last year and thought I would share it with all of you.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't it just adorable? This set is called The Jolliest Time of the Year and is in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog.

Ellen, thanks for this very adorable card, and just so you know, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sending a big hug your way.

It Was Bound To Happen........

I have been really good lately about not throwing critters at you every single day. Well, you knew it had to happen, and today's the day. Merry Crittermas, people.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Don't you just love this stamp set? It is called Merry Crittermas. The snowflakes are from the set Northern Hearts, which is a Hostess only set. You can get your very own right now, check them out in the Holiday Mini Catalog, then call me to order or to schedule your workshop or catalog party.

I stamped and embossed the tree and bunny with Versamark and Black Embossing Powder, then cut them out and popped them up on dimensionals. The snowflakes were embossed with White Embossing Powder. I also used Versamark and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder on the hill. Colors used are Pear Pizazz, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Bashful Blue. I added some more bling with Dazzling Diamonds and a Glimmer Brad, also from the Holiday Mini.

So glad you came by today. I appreciate your loyalty. Hugs to all.

Christmas Collage

Ahhh, here it is, November. Can you believe it? Another year almost gone. Unbelievable. and if that isn't enough, my share today is yet another Christmas card. Nothing like speeding through the rest of the year, lol. Nevertheless, it is
time to start making your Christmas cards and this one is a beauty. It is a partial
case from another Demonstrators website, sorry can't remember who, but if it is yours, please let me know so that I can give you credit.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is a great card that probably took 10 minutes to make, so it is perfect for
using for your Christmas cards for everyone on your list, and the vintage look is
IN! We will be making this card at Kathy's workshop on Nov. 6th in Auburndale. If
you would like to have a workshop where you and your friends make this gorgeous card, just contact me and set a date.

Have a fantastic Monday! Comments are appreciated, as usual.
