Pocket Silhouettes

I don't want to think about how close Christmas is, now that Thanksgiving is over. So I decided that today I would give you a non holiday card. Very easy and could be for just about any occasion,
for a woman or man, just an all around, all occasion card. Here it is:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There it is, I used a retired blue, I believe, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cards stocks, Chocolate Chip Ink. I used the Pocket Silhouettes and Priceless Stamp Sets.

Hope you like it, Thanks for visiting today.

Oh, and if you need anything from the Extravaganza Sale, please let me know today.

A Wish For Peace

First, before I forget, Samantha over at Scrapmaster's Paradise is offering some awesome blog candy.
Check it out! Her blog is awesome, too.

Today's post is a very simple Christmas card. I do love simple, maybe cuz I'm simple minded, lol. Anyway here it is.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used the pine cones from the Autumn Days stamp set, Mellow Moss, Confetti White and Chocolate Chip card stocks, I used my Mellow Moss and Chocolate Chip markers directly on the stamp, then sponged on some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint before stamping. I also distressed the layers and stamped the word peace from Wonderful Words II, which is retired.

Hope you like my simple card today. Thanks for coming by.

Short post

This will be a short post. Sorry, it's been a very busy couple of days. This card is one I made a few months back. It uses the Always set, I believe. Not Quite Navy and Kraft card stock and the top note die Big Shot die. I also used a retired background stamp, and some Crystal Effects, and surprisingly enough, I did NOT use the bird from this set.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Have a great Saturday, and remember, if you want anything from the big Extravaganza sale, be sure to let me know by Monday morning. See ya later.

Black Friday

In honor of Black Friday, and my birthday, yes, today, I will share a Christmas Card with you made at our monthly meeting Monday night. Great card, but for some reason, it either IS crooked or I photographed it crooked, lol. It probably is crooked, it was a long night Monday night. I don't have this set, so it was fun to play with it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Have a great Black Friday and keep a smile on your face.....it really throws people off, lol.

Winter Wonderland

Today's post is a card from our Monthly Tampa Stamp Vamps meeting. This awesome card
is so pretty and I believe the title captures it all. Down here in Florida, we don't get snow, I think the last time it snowed here was 1978. I remember, cuz I went out and played in it even though it was very little, it was a big thing here and that was the first time I had seen it. And if I had never left the Sunshine State would have been the last, till now. However, I did spend 8 years in Seattle and I miss it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't this gorgeous? It uses Stampin' Up's Serene Snowflake set that is in the Holiday
Mini Catalog you can find in my left sidebar. This beautiful set is just $20.95, and is only available through January 4, 2010. Contact me to get your own, before it's too late.

Colors used are Not Quite Navy, Kraft, and Very Vanilla. We also used a half back pearl from the Pretties Kit, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, also in the Holiday Mini, the Snowflake and Border Punches.

Ok, I know everyone is getting ready for the big day tomorrow, so sorry this was so long. Take time for yourself today, and don't get too stressed out over tomorrow.
and don't forget to visit, if you find the time.

Great Gift Idea

Last night I attended the Tampa Stamp Vamp's monthly meeting that my upline, Amanda Couglin graciously hosts for us. I love getting together with my SU "sisters". This
is one of the projects we did. It is so awesome, I could have done only this project and come home happy as a clam. This was only one of several things we did, so you will
see them later in the week.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

These are tumbled tile coasters. I have tried this once or twice before, and obviously didn't have a clue. These turned out fantastic. So fantastic, in fact, that
several people on my shopping list may be getting these for Christmas. If you are interested in making some of these for gifts, let me know and we can do a little class.

Colors are Old Olive, Orchid Opulence, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip and More Mustard.

Glad you stopped in today. Check back tomorrow for another of our projects.

Loads of Presents

I haven't used Loads of Love in ages. This is such a cute set, and it's been around quite some time. Today I thought I would share a Christmas Card with you made with this set. What fun!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Cardstock: Real Red, Glorious Green and Whisper White. Inks: Stazon Black, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Glorious Green, Real Red, Summer Sun, Gable Green, Pixie Pink,
Sage Shadow, Basic Black and Zig Painty for the chrome on the truck (Stampin' Up! no longer sells this. I added some Real Red grosgrain, and Crystal Effects on the window, windshield and headlight. Kinda simple, but fun, plus, for some reason, all the trees are leaning, not sure what my problem was there, lol.

Have a great Monday, see you tomorrow.

Punched Mum

In honor of Fall, and the absolutely beautiful weather we are having here in Central
Florida, I present you with the following project.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I love this flower, it is definitely a fall blossom. This flower was made with the 5-Petal Flower Punch punched in Summer Sun and sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink. I added a
small flower from the Boho Blossoms Punch, some crimped leaves in Old Olive, a gold brad and some Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. The stamp set I used is retired, and I don't remember
the name of it. I'm sure it will come to me at some point, but not right now. Try making your own fall flower, it can be as big as you want, just keep layering the petals.

Have an awesome Sunday! Thanks for stopping in.

Shaving Cream Technique

Today's post uses the shaving cream technique. What a simple but fun background. I showed it to a couple of friends tonight and they loved it! We made this card. Just imagine the fun mixes of color you could have on your card, with this easy technique.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The colors used are Ruby Red and Glorious Green in both card stock and ink. The
tree is made with the Heart to Heart Punch in Glorious Green, the Word Window Punch in Chocolate Chip, the Round Tab Punch in Ruby Red. The sentiment is punched with the Modern Label and Word Window Punches. What a cute little card.

Hope you are getting ready for the holidays, they are approaching so quickly. So much to do, so little time. Even less time to craft :o(

Have a great day! See ya later.

Dream Gardens

This is my first time using the Dream Garden set. I'm not sure I'm happy with how this turned out, I should have embossed them with Black embossing powder, I probably shouldn't have used the flash. I guess it's ok, for my first shot at this one, and it took all of about 5 minutes from start to finish, so that's good. I will give it another shot in a day or two, when I have more time.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Real Red, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White card stock. Basic Black and Gable Green Inks, and a Rhinestone Brad.

Thanks for coming by. Hope you can come back soon.

Dasher in Kraft

Today's post is another Dasher card, this time in more muted colors. This is an
awesome stamp. Stampin' Up! has really outdone themselves with this little guy. The price is right ($8.95 USD) and he is absolutely gorgeous. Not wonder he is one of the best selling stamp sets.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors used are Kraft and Confetti Cream card stock. Bravo Burgundy card stock and ink.
I also used the Snow Swirled set for the sentiment and the snowflakes. I used my Big Shot and Stampin' Up!'s Awesome Top Note Die. Bravo Burgundy grosgrain ribbon threaded through a hole made with the slot punch, and a vintage gold brad finish it off. Easy Peasy.

Thanks for coming, drop in again soon.

Great American Teach In Thank You

Today I will participate in the Great American Teach In. I will be talking to a
second grade classroom, (only one, I'm starting out slow, lol) and we will be making these Build A Bear bookmarks that I showed you a couple of weeks ago.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I also wanted to thank the teacher for inviting me into her classroom to share what I love. Today's project is another post it note holder this one is smaller than the last one I made, but it still measures 4"x4-1/4". I hope she likes it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White and Melon Mambo card stock. Melon Mambo and Old Olive Stampin Write Markers direct to stamp for the orchids, Melon Mambo Ribbon, the Ornament Punch and the Eyelet Border Punch. This is another quick, but pretty little gift. Make one and give it to someone just because. It will most certainly make their day.

Have a great Wednesday, and while you're at it, thank a teacher! See ya tomorrow.

Red Bird

Today's post is a card I pretty much cased from Splitcoaststampers. It was from 2007, I believe. Not sure of the artist, though she did an awesome job on this one. I changed the colors up slightly, and the punch, but other than that they are the same. It is made with the Stampin' Up! set, Best Wishes and More. I like using sets that are not specifically for Christmas, to make Christmas cards. It is cool to use them in other ways, plus, it makes them a greater value. Here is today's card.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I had limited supplies today, well, not really, but alot of my stuff is in my car, and
since I busted the rim yesterday by hitting a tree limb, it is at work waiting on a new
one. Hopefully I will have my stuff back home tomorrow.

I used Bashful Blue and Ballet Blue Inks and card stocks. Real Red Ink and Ribbon and Whisper White for this card. The 1-3/8" and 1-3/4" Circle Punches were also used.

Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment, I really love to hear from you.

Thanks Hostess Gift

Happy Monday! Hope your day is going great! I have a quick and simple hostess
gift to show you today. I made this in about 5 minutes. No joke. Just a couple of cuts, a couple of scores, add some ribbon, a gorgeous stamped peacock from the RMHC set Very Thankful, some glitter to add bling, throw a large post it note pack inside, and you get a very happy hostess.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry Inks and card stock, Eyelet Border punch.

Thanks for looking, see ya'll later.

Give Thanks

Today's post is appropriate. I am so thankful for my daughter feeling better, for my
wonderful son, husband, and all the other wonderful people in my life. I think I have managed to surround myself with the most wonderful people, family and friends, including my online ones. Thank you all so much for being there.

Now, here is the card:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sorry about the picture, not sure why it is blurry on the one side.

I made this last night about 11pm, for today's workshop. I love the colors, and wanted it fairly simple for new stampers, but they got to use the Big Shot a couple of times on this one. Stampin' Up's exclusive Top Note die is awesome, as is the Sizzlet Tag set.

Thanks for coming and bearing with me the last couple of days.

Friday Was Not a Good Day

I don't have a project to post today. I apologize. I spent yesterday at the hospital with my daughter, who was having excruciating pain in her lower back. She's fine, Thank God,it was just a long day of waiting, tests, more waiting, and pain that seemed would never go away.

I will be back tomorrow with a project. I had to scramble last night to get ready for a workshop today, so I will post the other project from that (I've already showed you one of them) tomorrow night.

I will show you a couple of pictures (my other passion...photography)
enjoy them and come back soon.

A Little Birdie Inspired Me

I was surfing blogs yesterday and ran across a card on Jennifer McGuire's blog yesterday with a bird made from a stamped circle image. I decided that it would be
great with Stampin' Up!'s Circle Circus stamp set.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It didn't take me long to decide to use the swirl on the Wings of Friendship Hostess set for his tail. And, just for my friend Ellen, I used the snowflake punch for his feet. I also used the Scallop Border Punch and then punched it again for the grass.
I ran it through my trusty Big Shot with the Finial Press embossing folder. Colors used: Summer Sun, Basic Black, Whisper White and Bermuda Bay Cardstock and Bermuda Bay and Basic Black Ink. Isn't he a cutie? I thought so.

Thanks for coming in today. Check back again tomorrow, you might see something you like, and please leave me a comment, I haven't had any for a couple of days and I am starting to get a complex :o( Is anybody out there?

Autumn Days.......Everywhere But Here

Today's post is a card we made at my uplines house last month. I love this Faux Tearing technique. It is so easy and yet adds so much. I used the Autumn Days set for this card. What a gorgeous set. I will be sharing this card with some friends on
Thursday morning and teaching them this easy technique.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors used are Really Rust, Sahara Sand Cardstocks, and Really Rust Ink.
The background stamp is En Francais, and the sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly set.

As I have said before, we don't get alot of Autumn here, but I love the colors and
have to make my own Fall. We have had a couple of cooler (80's) windy days here due
to Tropical Storm Ida milling around out in the Gulf, but tonight the AC is on and it
is November. Geez!

Anyway, thanks for dropping in, please come back soon. And leave a comment if you
don't mind, sometimes I think I am talking to myself on here.

Veterans Day

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I have been so busy playing catch up the last couple of weeks that I didn't even
realize it was already Veterans' Day. I want to say thank you to each and every person who has put his or her life on the line to keep us safe and free. And to
every family who has sacrificed the time with their loved ones so that we could sleep in peace. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and may God bless all of you.

Trendy Trees

I have been so busy playing catch up the last couple of weeks that I didn't even
realize it was already Veterans' Day. I want to say thank you to each and every person who has put his or her life on the line to keep us safe and free. And to
every family who has sacrificed the time with their loved ones so that we could sleep in peace. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and may God bless all of you.

I bought the Trendy Trees set when it first came out in the catalog. I have never used it. I'm not sure why. Today I finally got a chance to pull it out and play. I pretty much cased this card from a card on SCS, changing only the colors. I didn't think you could really mess with perfection. I'm sorry, I didn't write down the name of the artist that made this originally, but if it was you, please let me know so that I can give you credit.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors used are Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Old Olive card stock, and Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Inks. I ran
my strips of color through the Big Shot with a textured plate, and added some Rich Razzleberry Ribbon and an Old Olive Brad to finish it off. Such a cute card.

Well, that's all for today, ya'll come back now, ya here?

And yet another Autumn Days card

I have not used this set nearly as much as I would like to, but probably enough to
annoy some people, LOL. The pheasant is such a great set for Autumn or for a manly
card. This is a very simple and easy to make card.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used So Saffron and Soft Suede Inks and card stock. Some antique brads and the Word Window and Modern Label Punches. Thanks for looking. Please come back soon.

Now for something totally different

fToday's post is totally different from most of my posts. First of all, not birds, squirrels, monkeys, or critters of any kind. Second, lots of bright, vibrant color.
I tend to use alot of Earth Elements (cuz,"Everything goes with Chocolate Chip") so today's In Color card is a nice change of pace.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I won this Level 3 hostess bundle at my upline's monthly meeting. Thanks Amanda!
This is an awesome set, plus it includes some gorgeous 12x12 Designer Series Paper and matching rub ons.
I used Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive card stock, and Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo Inks. Not real happy with the shading on the flowers, but it will do
for now. I also used some Rich Razzleberry Ribbon, and the Scallop Border Punch.
I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping in. Bye!

Altered File Folder

Today's project is made from a manila file folder. This folder was for a swap, and I wanted it to be useful, so I made it into a menu planner.I used a retired Stampin' Up! DSP, and Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip Card Stock, plus a retired blue, for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. (senior moment, I suppose). Stamp set used is Voila!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My tags read: Menus, Recipes, Shopping Lists, and the last one isn't a tag, it is a folder and reads Coupons.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I covered the entire folder, as I really wanted it to be sturdy. I tied it all up
with a retired Kiwi Kiss grosgrain ribbon, and there you have it. A very useful,
very cute little gift. If you have any more questions, be sure to post them and then
check back and I will post an answer in the comments.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. See ya again soon.

Christmas Progressive Scrapbooking Page

Today I would love to share a progressive scrapbooking page that I will be showing
at an upcoming workshop. We will be making the 6x6 page. Hopefully, the guests will
see how easily you can scrapbook with Stampin' Up!, no matter what size scrapbook they work in. Here is the 6x6:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Here is the progression to the 8-1/2x11 (of course I forgot to take the picture before I put it together, lol):

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

and finally, here is the entire 12x12 page.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I think everyone will enjoy making this little page, and hopefully want to make more. What do you think?

Chillin'

Well, nobody had anything to say about yesterday's card, the little penguin. But, since
I wanted to see if I could make him out of punches, I didn't wait to be asked. I just decided to go ahead and make him. I think he turned out really cute. I put him on a 6x6 scrapbook page, just waiting for pictures of my kids when they were little chillin' in the pool. What do you think, does he look like the one on the card below?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Stampin' Up's 1-3/8" Circle punch for his head along with the middle size heart on the Heart to Heart Punch. I used a 1/4" circle for his eyes and the bottom of the big heart on the Heart to Heart Punch for his beak. His body is the Wide Oval Punch and the Small Oval Punch, His flippers are extra punches from the left over black where
I punched his body with the Wide Oval Punch, Feet are from one of the flowers in the
Boho Blossoms Punch. Easy Peasy, and soooo cute.

Let me know what you think, I work for comments, lol. See ya'll later.

Have An Ice Day

While I had the Animal Crackers set out a day or so ago, I decided to make a simple card with this little guy. Too cute. Now, I know I could make him from punches, too.
If anyone wants me to, just let me know and I will see what I can do. Otherwise, he
will just have to sit on this ice cube and chill.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used Ballet Blue, Basic Black and Whisper White for this simple card. Added an Eyelet Border and Voila! What an easy and cute card. Seeya!

Great American Teach In Beary Best Bookmarks

I have been asked to participate in the Great American Teach In. I am thrilled to be
able to share with the children what I do. How many jobs can you have that you play
with your friends, color, paint, cut, create gifts, and just generally have a great
time. I think all the students will want to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Here are
the bookmarks we will be making on November 18th.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used the Beary Best Friends stamp set, can't go wrong with our great Build A Bear
workshop items. The school colors are Only Orange and Brocade Blue so I dressed the boy bear in those colors, the girl in Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink. I added a Wide
Oval Punch for the Balloon tab and drew in the string. Thanks for coming, have a great day.

Be Yourself

Well, this just isn't what I thought I was going to do when I started with this card.
I was gonna make a simple little card. That's how it started. Hmmmm....I think I could make her with punches. Ok, now I have this little guy, still waiting to go on a card, what to do......so, let's make a bunch of these little guys and they can parade across the card following Mama.
Next I asked my wonderful daughter, Gabi, what should the caption on the card be and her answer was "I must have been on quack when I thought I wanted this many children." Needless to say, I didn't use her quote.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Aren't they just adorable? Who wouldn't want lots of these little darlings?

Punches used for duck: head-1-3/4" Circle. Eyes-1.4" circle. Beak-Modern Label and Small Ova., Body-1-3/8 Circle and Small Oval. Wing-Small Oval punched twice. Feet-Modern Label.

Colors: Ink and Cardstock: Dusty Durango, Summer Sun and Basic Black.

Stamps: Animal Crackers and Smarty Pants by Stampin' Up!

Thanks for dropping by. Have a great Tuesday!

A Fall Card

Whew! Halloween is over and I didn't eat even one piece of candy. Can you believe it? I don't know if I have mentioned it, but I am trying to lose weight, so no candy for me. Dagnab it! Now, two more big eating holidays to get through and I can breathe a sigh of relief, lol.

Now on to todays post. I love fall in Florida. It's hot, muggy, and humid, and green. I know I've said this before, but geez, could we have some cool weather please? The air conditioner is about to explode from overworking, and I am personally keeping the electric company afloat.

I decided, while I was working on my last swap for this month, that I would stop and
make a fall card. I mean, I already was working with these colors and stamps, so why
not? Here you go:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What do you think? I should have used my brayer instead of sponging the sky, but IT
is the one thing that I own that isn't on my desk at the moment, so sponging it was. I used the Shimmer Paint on the bird, just mixed it with some reinker and painted it on him to give him some shimmer. Love this stuff! Get you some!
Oh, and if you are in the HSM group, this is sort of the journaling block you will be
getting from me this month, teehee.

Stamp sets-Autumn Days and Sweet Little Sentiments.
Cardstock-Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Ruby Red, and More Mustard.
Inks-More Mustard, Ruby Red, Soft Suede, Always Artichoke and Stampin' Up's new Champagne Mist.
Other-Modern Label and Word Window punches, Ruby Red Brads and More Mustard grosgrain ribbon.

Well, today is Monday, and I hope yours goes great. Thanks for stopping in.

Gift Journal

Today's post is a gift for a good friend of mine who hopefully won't read my blog
today. I was supposed to take it to her last night, we gonna work on swaps but by the time I got home and started getting my stuff together, it was 8pm and that was too
late. And because I was working on swaps, I don't have anything else to show you today. So, Melissa, if you are reading this, Happy Birthday......here's your gift, lol.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used a retired Stampin' Up! DSP for this journal, The Lovely Letters Alphabet, Scallop Circle and 1-3/8 Circle Punches and Old Olive 5/8 grosgrain ribbon. Hope
you like it, Melissa. I will bring it to you soon.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope to see you again soon.
