A Fairy Special Visit

I think that Ellen's punch fairy must have come to visit along with the package
she sent me. As I was flipping through the channels I came across some cartoon with
an ostrich in it. I kept clicking then said," hey, I think I can make him out of punches, his head looks like the butterfly punches Ellen sent me" and so here's what
came out of that little brainstorm. I believe it just might be an original. Of course, after I took the picture, I realized I needed some lines, and sponging on his legs, and his body and beak needed some color and texture so you will just have to imagine her finished.

What do you think Ellen? How'd I do? thanks for sending the fairy, and the punched butterflies. And thanks for knowing I'd need gray ones, LOL.

Ok, here are the punches used. Head-butterfly, Tuft-Boho Blossoms, Tail-Scallop Circle, Body-Wide Oval, Neck-Wide Oval (used left over and just punched a small
neck sized piece out) Legs-Word Window and 1/2" Circle, Eyes-1/2" & 1/4" Circles,
Beak-Large Oval (punched once then put back in and punched again, then trimmed until it looked right) Wings are the Scallop Circle punched and put back in and punched again. Eyelashes and grass are hand cut.
Cardstock used is Basic Gray, Whisper White Glorious Green, Sahara Sand and Crushed Curry. Inks used are Basic Black and Basic Gray.
Sentiment from the Cheep Talk stamp set.

Isn't she cute? Have a great Friday and hope the Punch Fairy visits you soon. See ya!

  1. Oh my gawd how cute! I LOVE IT!! (You knew I would)

That is how the Inspiration Fairy works - you never know what odd thing you will be inspired to create but you just have to try it!

Now that you have seen her, you will recognize her and who knows? She might have moved to Florida. I could tell she really wasn't happy here with my desk clean.

I actually sent the gray for elephant ears but this is so much better! I'll make sure my ostrich fearing kid sees your blog today - She will like this one!
