Inch and a Pinch

I just love Inchies, for those who don't know what an inchie is, it is a tiny work of art, usually 1" square. This year for VC Rocks! we did an "Inch and A Pinch" swap, meaning they were 1-1/4" square. Here are my two swaps.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

These little squares just make me smile. I used to think I wouldn't have any idea what to do with them, but once I tried (thanks, Ellen, for giving me the push) I just love making them. They are quick, cute, and such a challenge.

Thanks again for coming by. If you could leave a comment it would be appreciated. I am pretty sure I am the only one out there reading this, lol.

A Little Bit of Magic ATC

Today's share is my last ATC from this years swap. I used the Summer Mini set called A Little Bit of Magic. These little fairies are just too cute.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't she cute? I colored her with our awesome Stampin' Write markers then once again cut her out and popped her up with dimensionals. Just love the look and dimension that adds to a card.

Hope you have enjoyed my ATC's, and thanks for your support.

ATC Christmas Cardinal

It's a quick Christmas in July post today! Not really, it's my second VC Rocks! ATC swap. I love
the Cardinal Christmas set, and what better way to show him off than on an ATC?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

He was stamped on Glossy White Stampin' Up! paper and colored in with our awesome markers, then cut out and popped up with dimensionals.

Thanks for coming by today. I'd love to hear what you have to say about this one, so please leave a comment.

Gift Card Holder

Yes, today is another VC Rocks! swap day. If you have ever thought you might want to be part
of VC Rocks! All these swaps may send you right on over the edge, but it's too late for this year. You could, however hop on over to the VC Rocks! Blog and subscribe, so you will know when VC opens for new members next year, and you could check out the daily Make n Takes and our three Blog hops we have had this year with another scheduled in August.

Today's swap is a Gift Card Holder. I used Fox & Friends for this one, just love that set, and I think it turned out pretty good. Lookie:

ATC Watercolor Trio

WhooHoo! Another VC Rocks Swap share today! This one is one of my ATC swaps. I love making ATC's and it is another swap I join every year. The first time I wasn't sure I could possibly make
something that small look good, now I absolutely love making them. This is my first of 3 different
ones:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It uses the Watercolor Trio and favorite thoughts stamp sets from the Summer Mini. Wouldn't this be pretty as the focal point on a card? Well, it would be, but I save all of mine, so they never make it to the front of a card, lol.

I appreciate you, and comments, too.

Recipe Page Swap

Now, at last, I can show you some of my submissions for the latest round of VC Rocks! Swaps, the June swaps were all non card swaps. Today's share is my 6x6 Recipe Page swap and the recipe
is from HungryGirl. com. It is a Banana Split Breakfast Bowl, hence the banana split with the Sweet Scoops Ice cream toppings. Looks good enough to eat:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I really love doing this type of swaps and the returns are great, cuz Rockers are some of the best
swappers EVAH!!!!!

Lots more to share, so come back soon.

Artistic Etchings

Well this is one of those cards where you just don't know what to think about it. I forgot to add
the punched border strip I was gonna add across the bottom of the vanilla piece, I did add one of
our brand new adhesive Rhinestones to the top of the Eiffel Tower, but I still wasn't happy with it, so if I had a stamp that said REJECT, I would stamp it right across the middle.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I guess we can't like them all, but just to show you the good and the bad, I thought
I would share, lol.

Thanks again for dropping by.

That 70's Era Disco Queen

Hi, and thanks for stopping by. Today's project is a 70's Disco Queen that my buddy Ellen
made for the 70's Floor of the VC Rocks Hotel. My friend Amy and I, while working on our
gift boxes for our roomies, decided they each needed a Disco Queen of their very own, so
we made them each a card. I'm sure Ellen appreciated the call she got asking how to make
the sunglasses, lol. Thanks Ellen, for all you do to enlighten us about punch art. What would
we do without you. Anyway, here are our cards:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I really wanted to put one on my scrapbook page I posted yesterday, but couldn't quite fit her
on there, so look out for page 2 coming soon.

Come back tomorrow, lots more to see, and leave a comment, pretty please.

That 70's Era Scrapbook Page

FAR OUT! Today's project is brought to you by the VC Rocks! Grand Hotel 70's Floor. I am the
floor manager for the 70's Floor and I challenged my guests to make a scrapbook page, using the styles, colors and fads of the 70's. It also needed to include at least one picture of themselves or
their parents (we may have some younguns who were still just a twinkle in their parents eyes, lol) in the 70's. Here is my submission:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What a hoot! Really brings back memories. I had those flowers all over my bedroom wall
back then. See the corded telephone with a DIAL??? or the
tongue and groove pine paneling on the walls, how about my bell bottoms or plaid pants? The
hair do's are typical 70's especially my friends afro. I was a high schooler in the mid 70's and
this definitely was MY era!

I used all retired Stampin' Up! card stocks and the Flower Folds die for the Big Shot to make the flowers, the letters were hand drawn.

Thanks for stopping by. Comments are appreciated.

Countryside

Today's post is another new set from the Stampin' Up! catalog called Countryside. I just love this vintage type of set and I love the images and memories they bring to mind.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I remember using an old well like this when I was young at my Grandmothers house. Those
were much simpler times.

Thanks for visiting today. Come back tomorrow for the VC Rocks! blog hop. There are over 30
talented ladies participating this month.

Punch Potpourri

It may come as no surprise to most of you, but the first order I put in from the new catalog, I got the Level 1 hostess set called Punched Potpourri, because it has a Bird and because it matches so many of our awesome punches and that means No cutting. Here is today's card using this set:

Cute as a Bug

Today's post is a card made with some retired colors and a set that I thought would retire, but
happily, it did not. It is called Cute As A Bug, and it is just that. Here is today's card:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I cased this from another stamper awhile back, sorry I can't remember who it was. I have lots

Coffee Cozie

Hello and Happy Monday! Today's post is a little gift my friend Amy and I made for a swap and also made some extras to share with some of my favorite people. It was made using the Big Shot and felt pieces in Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Pink Pirouette and White.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Hope all the recipients enjoy this little cozie. This was my first time working with my Big Shot and Felt and I absolutely love playing with it. I will show you my BFF's swap soon. It was another made using Mr. Big and Felt and lots of hand stitching that we managed to pull off even though neither one of us is very good at it, lol.

Have A Great Weekend!

Taking the weekend off, too much to do, lol. See you on Monday!

Card for the Birthday Boy

We had a fantastic time yesterday celebrating the birthday of the boy child. So today, I will have to
share a picture of the card I made for him. He doesn't like a lot of fuss, but he does love his truck,
so I had to use Stampin' Up!s Loads of Love stamp set.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

and here is another picture of the birthday boy last night at Kobe's Japanese Steak House:

He really hates my camera, but sometimes he puts up with it, lol.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Not Sure How This Happened......and another Tropical Party

Ok, so I'm not sure how this happened. My little boy turns 21 today. I have mixed emotions. I have watched him grow into a wonderful and handsome young man, but it seems only yesterday he was this little cutie (seen here with his adorable little sister, Gabi:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I mean, I knew it was coming, but how did it happen so fast? It has been a short 21 years. I
have enjoyed every minute of it. He is a fine young man, and I am so very proud of him. This
picture was taken on Easter of this year:

Give your children a hug! They won't be little for long. Yezin, my sonshine, I Love You, Forever.
Happy Birthday to you! Love, Mom

Now here is my Tropical Party card for today.

Hope the Birthday Boy doesn't party too hard today, lol.

Thanks for stopping by again today. See you again soon.

Presto Patterns Watercolor Trio

Today's project is a card I demonstrated at my workshop on Tuesday night. I really love how it turned out. Lookie:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't it gorgeous? I think so, if I do say so myself, lol.

This beautiful card uses the Presto Patterns Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! This paper has no
color to it until you add it then the patterns pop out at you. So you can have these awesome papers in any of Stampin' Up!s new gorgeous color families. Check them out today in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. If you don't have one, I know someone who has a few......wink,wink, lol.

This card will also be a Make n Take on the VC Rocks Blog, soon, so be watching for it.

Have a great Wednesday. Thanks for stopping in and hopefully leaving a comment.

Beary Best Friends

Here is the other card I shared with the two new stampers. We had an awesome time stamping and coloring and they are great little girls. It was a pleasure to spend time with them.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This card uses the Beary Best Friends set from Stampin' Up! I used retired paper and inks to
make this card. I wanted it to be bright and cheery and girly, and that is what I got. Hope you
like it.

See ya again next time. Thanks for looking.

New Catty is Live!!!! and Build A Bear Invitation

The New 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog is now LIVE! You can see it in my left sidebar, along with the New Spanish Version and the New Definitely Decorative Catalog. Check them out here or you can check them out on my Demonstrator Business Website Here. You can
order directly from my website, if you wish, or contact me to book a workshop or Catalog Party, or to place an order. Look forward to hearing from you.

Today I have been invited to a very nice lady's home to teach her two girls to stamp. They are,
I believe, ages 9 and 11. I am thrilled to work with young stampers, and hope they have as much fun as I think I will.

This is one of the cards we will be doing:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Granted there isn't alot of stamping on this one, but it is too cute, and the little Build A Bear is a pullout bookmark.
Ever notice that when I make cards for kids, the usually have a bookmark incorporated into them? Well, I believe that reading is the
most important thing for kids to learn. If they love to read and can comprehend what they are
reading, then most other things come so much easier, so I encourage reading whenever I can. Ok, down off my soapbox, lol.

Thanks for stopping by today. Comments are appreciated. See ya again soon!
