Abundant Hope

Hello? Is anyone out there? I sure hope so.... Am I all alone here? Hello?

I love flowers. Tulips are my favorite, daffodils, roses, daisies, I love them all. I have been known to slide down the side of a mountain (oops! scared my wonderful Mother half to death) just trying to get a good picture of a wildflower growing there. So when I saw the flowers in this set, I just had to have them. Although my coloring leaves a lot to be desired, here is today's card, cased from another demo.

I changed it up slightly with the colors I had available. The cardstocks are Whisper White and Always Artichoke. Inks are Black Stazon, Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, So Saffron and Apricot Appeal. I used the Eyelet Border punch along the back of the Whisper White card, The Modern Label punch for the sentiment from this Abundant Hope set, and lastly, I used my crimper to crimp part of the front of the card. It adds a nice touch, don't you think? Not sure how I managed to get the smudge beside the sentiment, but it happened long after the card was finished. Typical, lol.

Abundant Hope is available through April 30 in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. You
can check out here in my left sidebar.

Thanks for stopping in today. Don't forget to leave a comment.

  1. Hey - I really like your flowers!

Also - to catch up - I love the "dancing" penguin and the ostrich is very cute. Your Flower punch looks like it would be fast easy cards to do!

I would like to do a watercolor class - you interested???

  3. I love this card Carolyn! I almost never make a card using mainly white, and sometimes they are the prettiest because of their simplicity. And the crimped effect just adds the icing to the cake; it would never work for me because I can't seem to crimp straight. : )

  4. Ahh...but Carolyn, I think you are much too modest! You didn't win the card contest at our big meeting because you stamp or color ugly! :o) I wish I had your talent of making such beautiful and simple cards! YOU GO GIRL!
