Tropical Party Scrapbook Page and Last Call

Hi everyone. Today is the last day to order from the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. If there is anything you are interested in, let me know, and I can order it for you, or you can go to my Demonstrator Business Web Site HERE and place your order by clicking on SHOP NOW in the upper right hand corner.

Also, the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog goes live Thursday, July 1st at 12pm. If you
are hosting a workshop with me, or joining in one of my fabulous Hostess Clubs, you will get a free catalog.
If not, the cost is only $10 with $5 back on your first order of $25 or more. Contact me for more
info.

Today's project is the 1st page in a 20 page 6x6 scrapbook I made at my upline, Amanda Coughlin's monthly meeting. She always has awesome projects for us and this one I
would love to have a class on. If you are interested in a class using the Tropical Party stamp set by Stampin' Up! and the matching DSP, just let me know. If I get a good response, I will get a location
and plan the class.

Here is the page:

Very Thankful

Each year Stampin' Up! has one stamp set that, when purchased, Stampin' Up! gives $2 to the
Ronald McDonald House Charity. The set this year was Very Thankful. It is on the last page of
the catalog and I really loved the set this year. Earlier I joined a swap where we were to use this
set. This was one of the swaps I got back and unfortunately the talented stamper who made it did
not put her name on it. If it is yours, please let me know and I will give you credit.

Take a look:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is actually a gift card/money holder and where you see the paperclip, it opens up to reveal
a pocket for the gift card or money and a note. What an awesome idea and a great set. Thank
you to the lovely stamper who made it.

You still have until Wednesday to order this set before it is gone for good. Check out my Demonstrator Business Website to order direct from me, or call or email me today.

Have a great day. Thanks for stopping by. Comments are appreciated.

ATC-Reject pile

Yes, I said reject pile. I make things and they don't make the grade and into the reject pile it goes. Some get put on here, lol. This little ATC (Artist Trading Card size 3.5 x 2.5 inches)
was a mock up for a VC Rocks! swap. I was trying for simple (as in, doesn't take me hours to do eleven of them) but I just absolutely didn't like it. So into the pile it
went. For some reason, when I am working on swaps, I always feel like I need to go above and beyond my usual simplistic cards.

Here is today's share:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This little card was made with Chocolate Chip, Pretty In Pink Old Olive and Whisper White. Stamp set is Stampin' Up!s Pendant Park stamp set.

Hopefully I will be able to show you some of the swaps that didn't go into the reject
pile. I like to make sure the swappers get to see them first, then you will see them all.

Only a couple more days to get anything you might want out of the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. I am putting in an order on Tuesday night, so if there is anything you need, call or email me today.

Hugs,

Ok, so last night I was working on swaps until this morning, almost 1AM when I got home, so, lucky for me, I had this gorgeous RAK to share with you.

This is from another rocker, Jeanie Carter. Lookie.

Isn't this gorgeous? Love the colors and this set will be in the new catalog.

Happy Mail

One of the great things about being a part of a group like VC Rocks! is RAK's. A RAK is a Random Act of Kindness. You open the mailbox and low and behold there is a beautiful card just for you. And sometimes they hit on a day when you really need a lift, although they give you that any time you get one. Today I would love to share a couple of my recent RAK's with you.

This first one is by Barb Furlong:

This one is by my birthday twin from Arizona, Kimberly Johnson:

Aren't they just the cutest cards? Ladies, if you are reading this, thanks so
much for thinking of me.

Thanks to all my readers for dropping in today. I appreciate you.

Friends 24/7

While I was playing around with the embossing powders and black and white cardstock for my friend from Curves the other night, she also wanted to see what this image from
Friends 24/7 looked like embossed, so I embossed a couple extra while I was at it and
made this card:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used, Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White for this one. Such a classy combination. I do love black and white cards but always want to add a color, so on this one, real red was the way to go.

This will be a make n take on the VC Rocks! Blog soon. Click Here to see it and lots of other make n takes by our extremely talented VC Rocks! members.

Thanks for dropping by. Hugs.

Shower Favors in Black and White

Well, here we are again. It's Monday and aren't we having a great day? It's hot here
in the great Sunshine State. Like living on the face of the sun and the humidity is
so draining. I often wonder what people are thinking when they wished they lived here. It is a beautiful state and the beaches are beautiful, but the heat and humidity is killer. So if you are planning a vacation, Come On Down, we'd love to have you, but be prepared to have the very life sucked out of you by 3 pm each day, and for heavens sake, DO NOT forget the sunscreen!

Today's post is a little project for a friend at Curves whose daughter is getting married. She was looking for simple shower favors in black and white, so these are
a very simple mock up for her, just to give her an idea. The stamp is from the Stampin' Up! set Charming and was stamped in Versamark and embossed.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

If she likes them, we will make them and step them up just a tad to make them a
little fancier, some brads or other embellishments.

Have a great day. Thanks for stopping at my little spot on the web.

Father's Day Punched Golf Card

While I was at Curves on Wednesday, I met up with an old friend and she asked me to
make a card for her hubby for Father's Day. I asked what he liked and she said
"GOLF" that's all he does. So here is the card I made for her:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I used DSP from the Print Patterns III paper pad in Night of Navy and Sahara Sand
card stock. Lots of punches used on this one, too. I hope he likes it.

Thanks for stopping by today. Today is FRIDAY!!!!! WhooHoo!!

Punched Posies

Hello! Busy week this week for me. I spent yesterday at Curves, sharing Stampin' Up! with the ladies there making the card on yesterday's post. I came home, it's bad
weather, no electricity for a couple of hours, hot and very, very humid. I just melted.
Geez, and it's only June. After all the heat, I was wishing for spring again, so I
played with my Punched Posies set from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog. I also used some of the brand new colors on this card. Lookie:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors used are Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Old Olive and Whisper
White. Plus loads of punches.

Isn't it pretty? Kinda like this one, although it's not really my style. Not sure I
really have a "style", I'm all over the place with my cards, lol.

I am once again turning this in to a Make n Take on the VC Rocks! Blog, so look for
it there soon.

Have a fantastic Thursday! Hugs to you all!

King For A Day

Today I will be at my local CURVES doing Father's Day cards with the ladies who come
in to work out. What could be more fun than stamping AND exercising? Well, at least
the stamping will be fun, although at Curves, exercising can be fun, too.

Here is the simple card we will be making:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It uses Ruby Red, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock and inks. I used the
Card Games Stamp set from Stampin' Up! that is on the last chance list and a sentiment
from one of my Stampin' Up! sets, but I don't know which one, but just needed it to
fit on a Large Oval punched oval.

This card will also be a Make n Take on the VC Rocks! Blog soon. Be sure to look for it Here

Cute and simple, easy peasy chicken squeezy as Brandy would say.

Thanks for coming by. Have a great day.

Hostess Club Project

Hello and Happy Monday. Today's project is another of the projects we made at our
Paper Paupers meeting this past Saturday. What a great group of ladies! We had a
blast. We were concentrating on masculine projects in honor of Father's Day and along with the grill we made that I showed you on Friday, we made this wallet.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

and here is the inside:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This turned out really cute and would be great for Lottery tickets, gift cards, or wallet sized photos, or just old fashioned money, lol.

Made entirely of Chocolate Chip card stock and ink.

Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.

Tool Time and Motorcycle

Another of our projects for our Paper Paupers meeting on Saturday. I just love the
Motorcycle stamp, if you haven't noticed, lol. It is such a masculine image, although
you can make it feminine if you need to. Today I paired it up with the Totally Tools
stamp set to get this card:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I like the way this one turned out. It will be a VC Rocks! Make n Take if you are interested. Look for it on the VC Rocks! Blog soon.

Thanks for coming by again today. I do appreciate you.

Anyone For a Cookout?

In honor of Father's Day, our Paper Paupers meeting will have a masculine flair this
month. We will be making gifts to give the man in your life. Our first project will be
this one that I found on Lorri Heiling's Blog Isn't this just perfect for Father's Day?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I just realized I forgot to add the wheels. Sorry about that, but you get the picture, anywho. It would be hard to move without wheels, lol. Anyway, it opens
as a box so that you could put a gift card inside for Lowe's, Home Depot, or even
Publix so that the recipient can go buy some steaks for the grill. Unfortunately,
today this particular grill is cooking burgers and hotdogs. But maybe next time, lol.

As always, thanks for spending a couple of minutes with me today. Have a great one.

D is For Dog

Hi and thanks for popping in today. Hope your Thursday is going well. It's almost FRIDAY!!!!!

Today I want to share a card I made for another VC Rocks! swap. This one had to have an animal on it, so I used the Stampin' Up! set D is for Dog. Cute set.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors used are Chocolate Chip, Bermuda Bay, More Mustard, Real Red card stocks, Chocolate Chip ink and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder from the Summer Mini to give it some texture. I also used the Small Heart Punch and a Gold Brad for his collar.

Have a great day, and please leave a comment. I feel like I am alone out here, lol.

Just Jawing Final Farewell

Today's post is another card made with the Just Jawing stamp set from Stampin' Up! It is on the Last Chance list and I will really miss it. I have used this card so many times to make cards for kids and this particular card is one I made for the VC Rocks! swap "Cards Kids Get".

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I saw this card somewhere a year or so ago and downloaded it for use at a later date and this
swap was it. I don't remember who made the original, but I did change it up some to make it
mine. I really hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for dropping in. Have a great day!

Another Sneak Peek

Welcome! So glad you have stopped in to visit today. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Today's post is another sneak peek. This is a Stampin Up! new Level 1 Hostess sets called
Because I Care. This is a gorgeous set!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Isn't it pretty? I had to be different and do mine in Pretty in Pink, but I also used Rich Razzleberry
to add a darker color to it. Old Olive satin ribbon was used to bring out the color in the leaves as well as on the sentiment, which I caught an edge with. Sorry about that, but I didn't want to redo
the whole card. The Polka Dot Stampin' Up! embossing folder was also used to lend some more texture.

This set will be available starting July 1st with a qualifying Level 1 party. Contact me to schedule your party now.

Have a great day.

Happy Monday! Might as well enjoy it, the sooner it's over, the sooner it's the weekend again, lol.

a new set called Artistic Etchings.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors used are Crumb Cake (formally Kraft), Riding Hood Red and Not Quite Navy.

This new catty is AWESOME! I can't wait to show it to everyone. But not until July 1st, lol.
In the mean time, check out the Last Chance Lists to get those stamps and accessories that you
just can't live without.

Thanks for dropping by. Oh, and remember, I work for comments.

Sense of Time

Happy Friday! Hope you have all had a great week! Mine has been ok, I guess, lots going on
some of it good, some not so good. One of the good things is always stamping and scrapbooking.
If I have some time to play, I am a much happier person. It is what I enjoy, and we all need
that. Plus, my preorder from the new catalog is coming in today, complete with a new catalog
to browse through and write my novel...er I mean wish list. You will all get to see the new catalog soon, it starts in July, so don't fret. But DO get those sets and accessories that are retiring before they are gone. Check out my Demonstrator Web Site to see what is going away.

Today's card is a great masculine card made with the Sense of Time Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!
I did some serious distressing on this one, the images just lend themselves to this type of card.
Hope you enjoy todays card.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Colors used are Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Real Red and Confetti Cream Card Stocks, Chocolate Chip Ink and a Vintage Brad.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day!

A Little Overwhelmed, and another Oldie but Goodie

Well, by now I hope you all have taken a look at the retirement list and chosen what sets you need before they are gone. Just because it is retiring doesn't mean you won't use it. Today's post is a
sample of that. This set was a hostess set a couple of years ago and I have used it many times since, the latest on some mini composition books for a friend to give as gifts.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The technique used here is the Glitter Window technique and it is very cool.

I am a little overwhelmed this week, I am in the middle of lots of swaps, class planning, etc, so not
alot of time to make new projects, or at least ones I can share, but when the swaps start coming back in, there will be lots of new things to look at, so please bear with me as I get through the next few days.

Thanks for stopping by. Hugs to you all.
